8-5 Muhammad ibn al-Hassan ibn Ahmad ibn al-Walid - may God be pleased with him - narrated that Muhammad ibn al-Hassan al-Saffar quoted As-Sadiq (MGB) as having said, “There are four who will carry God’s Throne. One of them is like a human being who asks God for the daily bread of Adam’s offspring (the people). The second one is like a rooster who asks God for the daily bread for birds. The third one is like a lion who asks God for the daily bread for beasts. The fourth one is like a cowwho asks God for the daily bread for quadrupeds. The cow that carries God’s Threshold has held his head down due to shame, since the Israelites worshipped a calf. The ones who carry God’s Threshold shall be eight on the Resurrection Day.”
