7-84 (The compiler of the book narrated) that his father - may God be pleased with him - narrated that Sa’ed ibn Abdullah quoted Muhammad ibn Isa ibn Ubayd, on the authority of Zakaria al-Mumin, on the authority of Muhammad ibn Ribah al-Qula,
“I saw that Aba Ibrahim Al-Kadhim (MGB) had phlebotomy done on a Friday. I asked, ‘May I be your ransom! Are you having phlebotomy done on a Friday?’ He (MGB) replied, ‘I recite the verse of the Throne (Ayat al-Kursi) . You should have phlebotomy done whenever you have high blood pressure and recite the verse of the Throne.’”
