3-23 Muhammad ibn al-Hassan ibn Ahmad ibn al-Walid - may God be pleased with him - narrated that Muhammad ibn al-Hassan al-Saffar quoted Yaqoob ibn Yazid, on the authority of Muhammad ibn Abi Umayr, on the authority of Ibrahim ibn Abdul-Hamid that Al-Sabah - the servant of Aba Abdullah as-Sadiq (MGB) said,

“I was accompanying Aba Abdullah as-Sadiq (MGB) when we reached Mount Uhud. The Imam (MGB) asked me, ‘Do you see the whole in the mountain?’ I replied, ‘Yes, I do.’ The Imam (MGB) said, ‘However, I do not see it. There are three signs for getting old. Reduction of sight, bending of the back and shortening of steps.”
