3-186 Muhammad ibn al-Hassan ibn Ahmad ibn al-Walid narrated that Muhammad ibn al-Hassan al-Saffar quoted Ahmad ibn Muhammad ibn Isa, on the authority of Muhammad ibn Isma’il, on the authority of Al-Hassan ibn Dharif, on the authority of Aba Abdul-Rahman, on the authority of Muawiyah ibn Ammar that Abu Abdillah said,

“There are three fathers: Adam, who begot believers; the Jinn, who begot both believers and disbelievers; and Satan, who begot disbelievers. None of them reproduce in the usual way, but rather they lay eggs and hatch. His offspring are males, and there are no females among them.”
