2-61 (The compiler of the book narrated) that his father - may God be pleased with him - narrated that Sa’ed ibn Abdullah quoted Ahmad ibn Muhammad ibn Isa, on the authority of Al-Hassan ibn Ali, on the authority of Aban ibn Uthman, on the authority of Al-Ala’ ibn Syabat that Aba Abdullah as-Sadiq (MGB) said,

“When Noah’s (MGB) ark landed, Satan appeared and told Noah, ‘There is no man on the planet Earth who has pleased me more than you have, since you cursed these corrupt people; they were destroyed; and I got rid of them. Do you want me to teach you two characteristics? Avoid jealousy since it was jealousy which caused me to become this way. Also avoid greed since it was greed which resulted in what happened to Adam. ”
