Dua Al-'Asharat

1
بِسْمِ ٱللَّهِ ٱلرَّحْمٰنِ ٱلرَّحِيمِ
bismi allāhi ar-raḥmāni ar-raḥīmī.
In the Name of Allah; the All-beneficent, the All-merciful.
2
سُبْحَانَ ٱللَّهِ
subḥān allahi.
All Glory be to Allah,
3
وَٱلْحَمْدُ لِلَّهِ
wa-l-ḥamdulillāh.
all praise be to Allah,
4
وَلاَ إِلٰهَ إِلاَّ ٱللَّهُ
walā ʾilāha ʾillā llāh.
there is no god save Allah,
5
وَٱللَّهُ اكْبَرُ
wa-l-lāhu akbaru.
Allah is the Greatest,
6
وَلاَ حَوْلَ وَلاَ قُوَّةَ إِلاَّ بِٱللَّهِ ٱلْعَلِيِّ ٱلْعَظِيمِ
wa lā ḥawla wa lā quwwata illā bi-llāh i-l-ʿaliyy i-l-ʿaẓīm.
there is neither power nor might save with Allah, the Most High, the All-magnificent.
7
سُبْحَانَ ٱللَّهِ آنَاءَ ٱللَّيْلِ وَاطْرَافَ ٱلنَّهَارِ
subḥāna l-lāhi ānāʾa l-layli wa aṭrāfa n-nahāri.
Glory be to Allah in hours of the night and at the two ends of the day.
8
سُبْحَانَ ٱللَّهِ بِٱلْغُدُوِّ وَٱلآصَالِ
subḥānallāh bil-ghudūwwi wal-ʾāṣāl.
Glory be to Allah in the morning and the evening hours.
9
سُبْحَانَ ٱللَّهِ بِٱلْعَشِيِّ وَٱلإِبْكَارِ
subḥān allāh bil-ʿashiyyi wal-ʾibkār.
Glory be to Allah in the early hours of night and morning.
10
سُبْحَانَ ٱللَّهِ حِينَ تُمْسُونَ وَحِينَ تُصْبِحُونَ
subḥān allahi hīna tumsoona wa hīna tuṣbiḥūna.
Glory be to Allah when you enter the night and when you enter the morning.
11
وَلَهُ ٱلْحَمْدُ فِي ٱلسَّمَاوَاتِ وَٱلارْضِ
wa lahul-ḥamdu fi as-samāwāti wa al-ʾarḍi.
Unto Him be praise in the heavens, the earth,
12
وَعَشِيّاً وَحِينَ تُظْهِرُونَ
waʿashiyyan waḥīnan tuẓhirūn.
at the sun's decline, and in the noonday.
13
يُخْرِجُ ٱلْحَيَّ مِنَ ٱلمَيِّتِ
yukhriju al-ḥayya min al-mayyiti.
He brings forth the living from the dead,
14
وَيُخْرِجُ ٱلْمَيِّتَ مِنَ ٱلحَيِّ
wa yukhrijul mayyita minal hayyī.
brings forth the dead from the living,
15
وَيُحْيِي ٱلارْضَ بَعْدَ مَوْتِهَا
wa yuḥyī al-arḍa baʿda mawtihā.
revives the earth after its death,
16
وَكَذٰلِكَ تُخْرَجُونَ
wa kadhālika tukhrājūn.
and even so will you be brought forth.
17
سُبْحَانَ رَبِّكَ رَبِّ ٱلْعِزَّةِ عَمَّا يَصِفُونَ
subḥāna rabbika rabbil-'izzati 'ammā yasifūn.
Glorified be Your Lord, the Lord of Majesty, from that which they attribute (to Him).
18
وَسَلاَمٌ عَلَىٰ ٱلْمُرْسَلِينَ
wa salāmun ʿalā al-mursalīn.
Peace be upon the Messengers.
19
وَٱلْحَمْدُ لِلَّهِ رَبِّ ٱلْعَالَمِينَ
wa al-ḥamdu li-llāhi rabb al-ʿālamīn.
All praise be to Allah, the Lord of the Worlds.
20
سُبْحَانَ ذِي ٱلْمُلْكِ وَٱلْمَلَكُوتِ
subḥāna dhī al-mulki wa al-malakūt.
Glory be to the Lord of Kingdom and Realm.
21
سُبْحَانَ ذِي ٱلْعِزَّةِ وَٱلْجَبَرُوتِ
subḥāna dhī al-ʿizzati wal-jabarūt.
Glory be to the Lord of Majesty and Magnificence.
22
سُبْحَانَ ذِي ٱلْكِبْرِيَاءِ وَٱلْعَظَمَةِ
subḥāna dhī al-kibryā'i wal-ʿaẓamah.
Glory be to the Lord of Greatness and Magnitude;
23
ٱلْمَلِكِ ٱلْحَقِّ ٱلْمُهَيْمِنِ ٱلْقُدُّوسِ
al-maliki al-haqqi al-muhaimini al-qudusi.
the True Sovereign, the Guardian, and the Holy.
24
سُبْحَانَ ٱللَّهِ ٱلْمَلِكِ ٱلْحَيِّ ٱلَّذِي لاَ يَمُوتُ
subḥān allāh al-malik al-ḥayy alladhī lā yamūtu.
Glory be to Allah, the Sovereign, the Ever-living Who never dies.
25
سُبْحَانَ ٱللَّهِ ٱلْمَلِكِ ٱلْحَيِّ ٱلْقُدُّوسِ
subḥāna allāhi l-maliki l-ḥayyi l-quddūsi.
Glory be to Allah, the Ever-living, the Holy.
26
سُبْحَانَ ٱلْقَائِمِ ٱلدَّائِمِ
subḥāna al-qā'imi al-dā'imi.
Glory be to the Self-Existent, the Eternal.
27
سُبْحَانَ ٱلدَّائِمِ ٱلْقَائِمِ
subḥāna al-dāʾimi al-qāʾimi.
Glory be to the Eternal, the Self-Existent.
28
سُبْحَانَ رَبِّيَ ٱلْعَظِيمِ
subḥāna rabbiyal-ʿaẓīm.
Glory be to my Lord, the Most Great.
29
سُبْحَانَ رَبِّيَ ٱلاعْلَىٰ
subḥāna rabbiyal-ʿalā.
Glory be to my Lord, the Most High.
30
سُبْحَانَ ٱلْحَيِّ ٱلْقَيُّومِ
subḥān al-ḥayyi al-qayyūmi.
Glory be to the Ever-living, the Self-Existent.
31
سُبْحَانَ ٱلْعَلِيِّ ٱلاعْلَىٰ
subḥān al-ʿalīyyi al-aʿlā.
Glory be to the Exalted, the Most High.
32
سُبْحَانَهُ وَتَعَالَىٰ
subḥānahu wa-taʿālā
Glory be to Him, and Exalted be Him.
33
سُبُّوحٌ قُدُّوسٌ
subbūhun quddūsun.
Glorified (is He), Holy (is He),
34
رَبُّنَا وَرَبُّ ٱلْمَلاَئِكَةِ وَٱلرُّوحِ
rabbunā wa rabbu al-malāʾikati wa ar-rūḥi.
Our Lord, and the Lord of the angels and the Spirit.
35
سُبْحَانَ ٱلدَّائِمِ غَيْرِ ٱلْغَافِلِ
subḥāna al-dāʾimi ghayri al-ghāfil.
Glory be to the Eternal Who never forgets.
36
سُبْحَانَ ٱلْعَالِمِ بِغَيْرِ تَعْلِيمٍ
subḥāna al-ʿālimi biġayri taʿlīm.
Glory be to the All-knowing Who does not need teaching.
37
سُبْحَانَ خَالِقِ مَا يُرَىٰ وَمَا لاَ يُرَىٰ
subḥāna khāliqi mā yurā wa mā lā yurā.
Glory be to the Creator of all seen and unseen beings.
38
سُبْحَانَ ٱلَّذِي يُدْرِكُ ٱلابْصَارَ
subḥān alladhī yudrikul-abṣār.
Glory be to Him Who comprehends all visions,
39
وَلاَ تُدْرِكُهُ ٱلابْصَارُ
walā tudrikuhu al-abṣār.
but visions cannot comprehend Him,
40
وَهُوَ ٱللَّطِيفُ ٱلْخَبِيرُ
wa huwa allatifu al-khabiru.
and He is the Knower of subtleties, the Aware.
41
اللَّهُمَّ إِنِّي اصْبَحْتُ مِنْكَ فِي نِعْمَةٍ وَخَيْرٍ
allāhumma innī aṣbaḥtu minka fī niʿmatin wa khayr.
O Allah, I begin my day covered with grace and favor from You
42
وَبَرَكَةٍ وَعَافِيَةٍ
wa barakatin wa ʿāfiyah.
as well as blessing and good health.
43
فَصَلِّ عَلَىٰ مُحَمَّدٍ وَآلِهِ
fa salli ʿalā muḥammadin wa ālih.
So, (please) bless Muhammad and his Household,
44
وَاتْمِمْ عَلَيَّ نِعْمَتَكَ وَخَيْرَكَ
wa atmim ʿalayya niʿmatak wa khayrak.
make perfect Your grace and favor for me
45
وَبَرَكَاتِكَ وَعَافِيَتَكَ
wa barākatika wa ʿāfiyatika
as well as Your blessings and good health,
46
بِنَجَاةٍ مِنَ النَّارِ
binajatin minan-naar.
through redemption from Hellfire,
47
وَٱرْزُقْنِي شُكْرَكَ وَعَافِيَتَكَ
wa arzuqnī shukraka wa 'āfiyatika.
grant me thanksgiving to You, enjoyment of wellbeing from You,
48
وَفَضْلَكَ وَكَرَامَتَكَ ابَداً مَا ابْقَيْتَنِي
wa faḍlaka wa karāmatuka abadan mā abqaytanī.
Your grace, and Your honor permanently so long as You decide to keep me alive.
49
اَللَّهُمَّ بِنُورِكَ ٱهْتَدَيْتُ
allāhumma binūrika ihtadaitu.
O Allah, only by Your Light have I been guided,
50
وَبِفَضْلِكَ ٱسْتَغْنَيْتُ
wa bi-faḍlika astaghneyt.
only by Your grace have I been opulent,
51
وَبِنِعْمَتِكَ اصْبَحْتُ وَامْسَيْتُ
wa biniʿmatika asbaha wa amsayt.
and only by Your grace have I lived in eves and morns.
52
اللَّهُمَّ إِنِّي اشْهِدُكَ وَكَفَىٰ بِكَ شَهِيداً
allāhumma innī ash-haduka wa kafā bi-ka shahīdā.
O Allah, I ask You to witness for me, and You are surely sufficient as a witness,
53
وَاشْهِدُ مَلاَئِكَتَكَ وَانْبِيَاءَكَ وَرُسُلَكَ
wa-ashhidu malāʾikataka wa-anbiyāʾaka wa-rusulaka
and I also choose as witnesses Your angels, Prophets, Messengers,
54
وَحَمَلَةَ عَرْشِكَ وَسُكَّانَ سَمَاوَاتِكَ وَارْضِكَ
wa ḥamalata ʿarshika wa sukkāna samāwātika wa arḍika.
the bearers of Your Throne, the inhabitants of Your heavens and earth,
55
وَجَمِيعَ خَلْقِكَ
wa jamiʿa khalqika
and all Your creatures,
56
بِانَّكَ انْتَ ٱللَّهُ لاَ إِلٰهَ إِلاَّ انْتَ
bi-annaka anta allāh, lā ilāha illā anta.
that You are Allah, there is no god save You,
57
وَحْدَكَ لاَ شَرِيكَ لَكَ
waḥdaka lā sharīka lak.
One and Only Lord, having no partner,
58
وَانَّ مُحَمَّداً صَلَّىٰ ٱللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَآلِهِ عَبْدُكَ وَرَسُولُكَ
wa anna muḥammadan ṣallallāhu ʿalayhi wa ālihi ʿabduka wa rasūluka.
and that Muhammad, peace be upon him and his Household, is Your servant and Messenger,
59
وَانَّكَ عَلَىٰ كُلِّ شَيْ ءٍ قَدِيرٌ
wa-innaka ʿalā kulli shay'in qadīr.
and that You have power over all things;
60
تُحْيِي وَتُمِيتُ وَتُمِيتُ وَتُحْيِي
tuḥyi wa tumītu wa tumītu wa tuḥyi.
You grant life and cause to die and You cause to die and grant life;
61
وَاشْهَدُ انَّ ٱلْجَنَّةَ حَقٌّ
wa-ashhadu anna al-jannata haqqun.
and I witness that Paradise is true,
62
وَانَّ ٱلنَّارَ حَقٌّ
wa innal-nara haqqun.
Hellfire is true,
63
وَانَّ ٱلنُّشُورَ حَقٌ
wa innan nushūra ḥaqun.
Resurrection is true,
64
وَٱلسَّاعَةَ آتِيَةٌ لاَ رَيْبَ فِيهَا
wa al-sāʿah ātiyatun lā rayba fīhā.
the Hour is coming, there is no doubt about it,
65
وَانَّ ٱللَّهَ يَبْعَثُ مَنْ فِي ٱلْقُبُورِ
wa inn allāh yabʿathu man fil-qubūr.
and Allah shall raise up those who are in graves.
66
وَاشْهَدُ انَّ عَلِيَّ بْنَ ابِي طَالِبٍ امِيرُ ٱلْمُؤْمِنِينَ حَقّاً حَقّاً
wa-ashhadu anna ʿaliyya ibn abi ṭalibin amirul-mu'minīna ḥaqqaṇ ḥaqqaṇ.
I also witness that `Ali the son of Abu-Talib is truly the commander of the faithful, indeed,
67
وَانَّ ٱلائِمَّةَ مِنْ وُلْدِهِ هُمُ ٱلائِمَّةُ ٱلْهُدَاةُ ٱلْمَهْدِيُّونَ
wa anna al-a'imma min waladihi humul a'immatul hudaatul mahdiyyoon.
the Imams from his offspring are the guides, leaders, and well-guided,
68
غَيْرُ ٱلضَّالِّينَ وَلاَ ٱلْمُضِلِّينَ
ghayru al-ḍālīna walā al-muḍillīna.
neither straying off nor misleading,
69
وَانَّهُمْ اوْلِيَاؤُكَ ٱلْمُصْطَفَوْنَ
wa-innahum awliyā'u-ka al-musṭafawna.
and they are Your chosen representatives,
70
وَحِزْبُكَ ٱلْغَالِبُونَ
wa ḥizbuka al-ghālibūn.
Your triumphant party,
71
وَصِفْوَتُكَ وَخِيَرَتُكَ مِنْ خَلْقِكَ
waṣifwatuka wa khīaratuka min khalqika
Your choice, the most favorable of all Your creatures,
72
وَنُجَبَاؤُكَ ٱلَّذِينَ ٱنْتَجَبْتَهُمْ لِدِينِكَ
wa nujabāʾuka alladhīna intajabtahum li-dīnik.
the superior ones whom You have selected for Your religion,
73
وَٱخْتَصَصْتَهُمْ مِنْ خَلْقِكَ
wa akhtasas-tahum min khalqika.
decided on from among Your beings,
74
وَٱصْطَفَيْتَهُمْ عَلَىٰ عِبَادِكَ
wa-istafaytahum ʿalā ʿibādika.
chosen from among Your servants,
75
وَجَعَلْتَهُمْ حُجَّةً عَلَىٰ ٱلْعَالَمِينَ
wa jaʿaltahum ḥujjatan ʿalal-ʿalameen.
and made Claims against all beings.
76
صَلَوَاتُكَ عَلَيْهِمْ وَٱلسَّلاَمُ وَرَحْمَةُ ٱللَّهِ وَبَرَكَاتُهُ
ṣalawātuka ʿalayhim wa as-salāmu wa raḥmatu allāhi wa barakātuhu.
May Your consent, peace, mercy, and blessings be upon them.
77
اللَّهُمَّ ٱكْتُبْ لِي هٰذِهِ ٱلشَّهَادَةَ عِنْدَكَ
allāhumma ʾktub lī hādhīhi ash-shahādah ʿindaka.
O Allah, (please do) certify this witness for me with You
78
حَتَّىٰ تُلَقِّنَنِيهَا يَوْمَ ٱلْقِيَامَةِ وَانْتَ عَنِّي رَاضٍ
ḥattā tulqinanīhā yawm al-qiyāmah wa-anta ʿannī rāḍin.
so that You shall give it back to me on the Resurrection Day while You are pleased with me.
79
إِنَّكَ عَلَىٰ مَا تَشَاءُ قَدِيرٌ
'innaka 'ala ma tashā'u qadīrun.
Verily, You have power over all that which You will.
80
اللَّهُمَّ لَكَ ٱلْحَمْدُ حَمْداً يَصْعَدُ اوَّلُهُ وَلاَ يَنْفَدُ آخِرُهُ
allāhumma laka al-ḥamdu ḥamdan yaṣʿadu awwalu-hu wa lā yanfadu ākhiru-hu.
O Allah, to You be praise the first of which ascends while its end is infinite.
81
اللَّهُمَّ لَكَ ٱلْحَمْدُ حَمْداً تَضَعُ لَكَ ٱلسَّمَاءُ كَنَفَيْهَا
allāhumma laka l-ḥamdu ḥamdan taḍaʿu lakas-samāʾu kanafayhā
O Allah, to You be praise due to which the heavens humbles itself to You
82
وَتُسَبِّحُ لَكَ ٱلارْضُ وَمَنْ عَلَيْهَا
wa tusbihu laka al-ardhu wa man 'alayha.
and the earth as well as all those on it glorify You.
83
اللَّهُمَّ لَكَ ٱلْحَمْدُ حَمْداً سَرْمَداً ابَداً
allāhumma laka al-ḥamdu ḥamdan sarmadān abadān.
O Allah, to You be praise—eternal, endless,
84
لاَ ٱنْقِطَاعَ لَهُ وَلاَ نَفَادَ
lā inqiṭāʿa lahu walā nafād.
having neither cessation nor exhaustion,
85
وَلَكَ يَنْبَغِي وَإِلَيْكَ يَنْتَهِي
walaka yanbaghi wa'ilayka yantahi.
fitting You, and being dedicated to You,
86
فِيَّ وَعَلَيَّ وَلَدَيَّ
fīya wa ʿalayya wa ladayya.
about me, on (Your favors to) me, with me,
87
وَمَعِي وَقَبْلِي وَبَعْدِي
wa maʿī wa qablī wa baʿdī.
along with me, before me, after me,
88
وَامَامِي وَفَوْقِي وَتَحْتِي
wa āmāmī wa fawqī wa taḥtī.
in front of me, over me, beneath me,
89
وَإِذَا مِتُّ وَبَقِيتُ فَرْداً وَحِيداً ثُمَّ فَنِيتُ
wa idha mittu wa baqītu fardan waḥīdan thumma fanītu.
when I die, remain totally alone, and will be then terminated.
90
وَلَكَ ٱلْحَمْدُ إِذَا نُشِرْتُ وَبُعِثْتُ
walaka al-ḥamdu ʾidha nushirtu wa buʿithtu
To You be all praise when I shall be resurrected and raised up (from grave).
91
يَا مَوْلاَيَ اللَّهُمَ وَلَكَ ٱلْحَمْدُ
yā mawlāya allāhumma walaka al-ḥamd.
O my Lord, O Allah, to You be all praise
92
وَلَكَ ٱلشُّكْرُ بِجَمِيعِ مَحَامِدِكَ كُلِّهَا
wa laka al-shukru bi-jami'i mahamidika kulliha.
and all thanks in all forms of praising You
93
عَلَىٰ جَمِيعِ نَعْمَائِكَ كُلِّهَا
ʿalā jamiʿi naʿmāʾika kullihā.
for all Your favors
94
حَتَّىٰ يَنْتَهِيَ ٱلْحَمْدُ إِلَىٰ مَا تُحِبُّ رَبَّنَا وَتَرْضَىٰ
ḥattá yan-ta-hi-ya al-ḥamd u-ī-lá mā tu-ḥib-bu rabb-anā wa ta-rḍá.
until (this) praise achieves the pleasure and satisfaction of You, O our Lord.
95
اللَّهُمَّ لَكَ ٱلْحَمْدُ عَلَىٰ كُلِّ اكْلَةٍ وَشَرْبَةٍ
allāhumma laka al-ḥamdu ʿalā kulli iklatin wa sharbatin.
O Allah, to You be all praise for each and every food, drink,
96
وَبَطْشَةٍ وَقَبْضَةٍ
wa batshatin wa qabdhah.
power, grip,
97
وَبَسْطَةٍ وَفِي كُلِّ مَوْضِعِ شَعْرَةٍ
wa basṭahin wa fī kulli mawḍiʿi shaʿrah.
extension, and for each place of a single hair.
98
اللَّهُمَّ لَكَ ٱلْحَمْدُ حَمْداً خَالِداً مَعَ خُلُودِكَ
allāhumma lakal-ḥamdu ḥamdan khālidan maʿa khu-lūdik.
O Allah, to You be all praise that is as eternal as You are.
99
وَلَكَ ٱلْحَمْدُ حَمْداً لاَ مُنْتَهَىٰ لَهُ دُونَ عِلْمِكَ
walaka al-ḥamdu ḥamdan lā muntaḥā lahū dūna ʿilmik.
To You be all praise that never ends save Your knowledge (about it).
100
وَلَكَ ٱلْحَمْدُ حَمْداً لاَ امَدَ لَهُ دُونَ مَشِيَّتِكَ
walaka al-ḥamdu ḥamdan lā amada lahu dūna mashīyyatika.
To You be all praise that has no limit save when You will.
101
وَلَكَ ٱلْحَمْدُ حَمْداً لاَ اجْرَ لِقَائِلِهِ إِلاَّ رِضَاكَ
wa lakal-ḥamdu ḥamdan lā ʾajra liqāʾilihi illā riḍāka.
To You be all praise the one and only reward of its sayer is nothing save Your pleasure.
102
وَلَكَ ٱلْحَمْدُ عَلَىٰ حِلْمِكَ بَعْدَ عِلْمِكَ
wa lakal-hamdu 'ala hil-mika ba'da 'ilmika.
To You be all praise for You act forbearingly though You know.
103
وَلَكَ ٱلْحَمْدُ عَلَىٰ عَفْوِكَ بَعْدَ قُدْرَتِكَ
wa laka al-ḥamd ʿalā ʿafwik baʿda qudratik.
To You be all praise for You pardon though You have power (not to do).
104
وَلَكَ ٱلْحَمْدُ بَاعِثَ ٱلْحَمْدِ
wa laka al-ḥamd, bāʿiṯa al-ḥamdi.
To You be all praise and You are the source of praise.
105
وَلَكَ ٱلْحَمْدُ وَارِثَ ٱلْحَمْدِ
wa laka al-ḥamd wa waritha al-ḥamdi.
To You be all praise and You are the inheritor of praise.
106
وَلَكَ ٱلْحَمْدُ بَدِيعَ ٱلْحَمْدِ
walaka al-ḥamd badiʿa al-ḥamdi.
To You be all praise and You are the fashioner of praise.
107
وَلَكَ ٱلْحَمْدُ مُنْتَهَىٰ ٱلْحَمْدِ
wa laka al-ḥamd muntaḥā al-ḥamd.
To You be all praise and You are the utmost of praise.
108
وَلَكَ ٱلْحَمْدُ مُبْتَدِعَ ٱلْحَمْدِ
walaka al-ḥamdu mubtadiʿa al-ḥamdi.
To You be all praise and You are the author of praise.
109
وَلَكَ ٱلْحَمْدُ مُشْتَرِيَ ٱلْحَمْدِ
walakal-ḥamdu mushtariyal-ḥamdi.
To You be all praise and You are the object of praise.
110
وَلَكَ ٱلْحَمْدُ وَلِيَّ ٱلْحَمْدِ
walakal-ḥamdu walillahil-ḥamdu.
To You be all praise and You are the lord of praise.
111
وَلَكَ ٱلْحَمْدُ قَدِيمَ ٱلْحَمْدِ
walakal-ḥamdu qadīmal-ḥamdi.
To You be all praise and You are the ultimate objective of praise.
112
وَلَكَ ٱلْحَمْدُ صَادِقَ ٱلْوَعْدِ وَفِيَّ ٱلْعَهْدِ
walaka al-ḥamd ṣādiqa al-waʿdi wa-fiyya al-ʿahd.
To You be all praise and You are truthful in promise, fulfiller of pledge,
113
عَزِيزَ ٱلْجُنْدِ قَائِمَ ٱلْمَجْدِ
ʿazīz al-jundī qāʾim al-majd.
mighty in power, and subsistingly glorious.
114
وَلَكَ ٱلْحَمْدُ رَفِيعَ ٱلدَّرَجَاتِ مُجِيبَ ٱلدَّعَوَاتِ
wa laka al-ḥamd rafīʿa al-darajāt mujība al-daʿawāt.
To You be all praise and You are the highest in ranks, the responsive to prayers,
115
مُنَزِّلَ ٱلآيَاتِ مِنْ فَوْقِ سَبْعِ سَمَاوَاتٍ
munazzilal-āyāti min fawqi sabʿi samāwātin.
the descender of sings (or Verses) from above seven skies,
116
عَظِيمَ ٱلْبَرَكَاتِ
ʿaẓīm al-barakāt.
the grantor of outstanding blessings,
117
مُخْرِجَ ٱلنُّورِ مِنَ ٱلظُّلُمَاتِ
mukhrijan noori mina aththulumati.
the bringer forth of light from utter darkness,
118
وَمُخْرِجَ مَنْ فِي ٱلظُّلُمَاتِ إِلَىٰ ٱلنُّورِ
wa mukhrijan man fil dhulumati ila-n-nur.
the bringer forth of those who are in darkness to light,
119
مُبَدِّلَ ٱلسَّيِّئَاتِ حَسَنَاتٍ
mubaddila alssayyiat hasanat.
the changer of evil deeds into good deeds,
120
وَجَاعِلَ ٱلْحَسَنَاتِ دَرَجَاتٍ
wajaʿila al-ḥasanāti darajātin
and the maker of good deeds raise to high ranks.
121
اَللَّهُمَّ لَكَ ٱلْحَمْدُ غَافِرَ ٱلذَّنْبِ وَقَابِلَ ٱلتَّوْبِ
allāhumma laka al-ḥamdu ghāfir al-ḏanb wa qābil al-tawb.
O Allah, to You be all praise and You are the Forgiver of the faults, the Acceptor of repentance,
122
شَدِيدَ ٱلْعِقَابِ ذَا ٱلطَّوْلِ
shadīda al-ʿiqābi dhā al-ṭawli.
severe to punish, and Lord of bounty.
123
لاَ إِلٰهَ إِلاَّ انْتَ إِلَيْكَ ٱلْمَصِيرُ
lā ʾilāha ʾillā anta ʾilayka l-maṣīr.
There is no god save You; to You shall be the return.
124
اَللَّهُمَّ لَكَ ٱلْحَمْدُ فِي ٱللَّيْلِ إِذَا يَغْشَىٰ
allāhumma laka l-ḥamdu fī l-layli idhā yaghshā.
O Allah, to You be all praise in the night when it draws a veil.
125
وَلَكَ ٱلْحَمْدُ فِي ٱلنَّهَارِ إِذَا تَجَلَّىٰ
wa lakal-ḥamdu fil-nahāri idhā tajallā.
To You be all praise in the day when it shines in brightness.
126
وَلَكَ ٱلْحَمْدُ فِي ٱلآخِرَةِ وَٱلاولَىٰ
wa lakal hamdu fil-akhirati wal-ula.
To You be all praise in the Hereafter and the former life.
127
وَلَكَ ٱلْحَمْدُ عَدَدَ كُلِّ نَجْمٍ وَمَلَكٍ فِي ٱلسَّمَاءِ
walaka al-ḥamdu ʿadada kulli najmin wa malakin fī al-samāʾ.
To You be all praise as many as the numbers of all stars and angels in the heavens.
128
وَلَكَ ٱلْحَمْدُ عَدَدَ ٱلثَّرَىٰ وَٱلْحَصَىٰ وَٱلنَّوَىٰ
wa laka al-ḥamd ʿadada al-tharā wa al-ḥaṣā wa al-nawā.
To You be all praise as much as dust and as many as pebbles and seeds.
129
وَلَكَ ٱلْحَمْدُ عَدَدَ مَا فِي جَوِّ ٱلسَّمَاءِ
wa lakal-ḥamdu ʿadada mā fī jawwi al-samāʾ.
To You be all praise as many as all that which is in the air.
130
وَلَكَ ٱلْحَمْدُ عَدَدَ مَا فِي جَوْفِ ٱلارْضِ
wa laka al-ḥamd, ʿadada mā fī jawfi al-arḍ.
To You be all praise as many as all that which is in the interior of the earth.
131
وَلَكَ ٱلْحَمْدُ عَدَدَ اوْزَانِ مِيَاهِ ٱلْبِحَارِ
wa lakal-ḥamdu ʿadada ʾawzāni miyāhi al-biḥār.
To You be all praise as much as the weight of sea water.
132
وَلَكَ ٱلْحَمْدُ عَدَدَ اوْرَاقِ ٱلاشْجَارِ
walakal-ḥamdou ʿadadan awrāqi al-ashjāri.
To You be all praise as many as leaves of trees.
133
وَلَكَ ٱلْحَمْدُ عَدَدَ مَا عَلَىٰ وَجْهِ ٱلارْضِ
wa laka al-ḥamd ʿadada mā ʿalā wajhi al-arḍ.
To You be all praise as many as all that which exists on the earth surface.
134
وَلَكَ ٱلْحَمْدُ عَدَدَ مَا احْصَىٰ كِتَابُكَ
walaka al-ḥamdu ʿadada mā aḥṣā kitābuka.
To You be all praise as much as that which has been counted by Your Book.
135
وَلَكَ ٱلْحَمْدُ عَدَدَ مَا احَاطَ بِهِ عِلْمُكَ
walakal-hamdu 'adada ma ahat' bihi 'ilmuk.
To You be all praise as much as all that which is comprehended by Your Knowledge.
136
وَلَكَ ٱلْحَمْدُ عَدَدَ ٱلإِنْسِ وَٱلْجِنِّ
wa lakal-ḥamd ʿadada al-insi wal-jinni.
To You be all praise as many as the numbers of men, jinn,
137
وَٱلْهَوَامِّ وَٱلطَّيْرِ وَٱلْبَهَائِمِ وَٱلسِّبَاعِ
wal-hawāmmi wal-ṭṭayri wal-bahāʾimi was-sibāʿi.
pests, birds, animals, and beasts—
138
حَمْداً كَثِيراً طَيِّباً
ḥamdān kaṯīran ṭayyiban.
praise that is abundant, pleasant,
139
مُبَارَكاً فِيهِ كَمَا تُحِبُّ رَبَّنَا وَتَرْضَىٰ
mubārakan fīhi kamā tuḥibbu rabbana wa tarḍā.
and as blessed as You, our Lord, please and gratify
140
وَكَمَا يَنْبَغِي لِكَرَمِ وَجْهِكَ وَعِزِّ جَلاَلِكَ
wa kamā yanbaghī li-karami wajhika wa ʿizzī jalālika.
so much so that it befits the majesty of Your Face and the dignity of Your splendor.
141
Then, repeat the following statements ten times each:
142
لاَ إِلٰهَ إِلاَّ ٱللَّهُ وَحْدَهُ لاَ شَرِيكَ لَهُ لَهُ ٱلْمُلْكُ وَلَهُ ٱلْحَمْدُ وَهُوَ ٱللَّطِيفُ ٱلْخَبِيرُ
lā ʾilāha ʾillā allāh, waḥdahu lā sharīka lah, lahul mulku wa lahul ḥamdu, wa huwa al-la
There is no god save Allah; One and Only and having no partner. To Him is the Kingdom and to Him is (all) praise. He is the Knower of subtleties, the Aware.
143
لاَ إِلٰهَ إِلاَّ اللَّهُ وَحْدَهُ لاَ شَرِيكَ لَهُ لَهُ ٱلْمُلْكُ وَلَهُ ٱلْحَمْدُ يُحْيِي وَيُمِيتُ وَيُمِيتُ وَيُحْيِي وَهُوَحَيٌّ لاَ يَمُوتُ بِيَدِهِ ٱلْخَيْرُ وَهُوَ عَلَىٰ كُلِّ شَيْءٍ قَدِيرٌ
lā ilāha illā allāh, waḥdahu lā sharīka lah, lahul mulku wa lahul-ḥamdu yuḥyī wa yumītu wa yum
There is no god save Allah; One and Only and having no partner. To Him is the Kingdom and to Him is (all) praise. He gives life and causes to die and causes to die and gives life, while He is ever-living and never dies. In His Hand is the entire goodness and He has power over all things.
144
اسْتَغْفِرُ ٱللَّهَ ٱلَّذِي لاَ إِلٰهَ إِلاَّ هُوَ ٱلْحَيُّ ٱلْقَيُّومُ وَاتُوبُ إِلَيْه
astaghfiru l-lāha l-ladhī lā ilāha illā huwa al-ḥayyu al-qayyūmu wa atūbu ilayhi.
I pray the forgiveness of Allah; there is no god save Him, the Ever-living, the Self-subsistent, and I repent to Him.
145
يَا ٱللَّهُ يَا ٱللَّهُ
yā allāh, yā allāh.
O Allah, O Allah!
146
يَا رَحْمٰنُ يَا رَحْمٰنُ
yā raḥmān, yā raḥmān.
O All-beneficent, O All-beneficent!
147
يَا رَحِيمُ يَا رَحِيمُ
yā raḥīmu, yā raḥīmu.
O All-merciful, O All-merciful!
148
يَا بَدِيعَ ٱلسَّمَاوَاتِ وَٱلارْضِ
yā badīʿa al-samāwāti wa al-arḍi.
O Fashioner of the heavens and the earth!
149
يَا ذَا ٱلْجَلاَلِ وَٱلإِكْرَامِ
yā dhā al-jalāli wa al-ikrām.
O Lord of Majesty and Dignity!
150
يَا حَنَّانُ يَا مَنَّانُ
yā ḥannān yā mannān
O All-compassionate! O Grantor (of graces)!
151
يَا حَيُّ يَا قَيُّومُ
yā ḥayyu yā qayyūm.
O Ever-living! O Self-Subsistent!
152
يَا حَيُّ لاَ إِلٰهَ إِلاَّ انْتَ
yā ḥayyu lā ʾilāha ʾillā anta.
O Ever-living! There is no god save You!
153
يَا ٱللَّهُ يَا لاَ إِلٰهَ إِلاَّ انْتَ
yā allāhu yā lā ʾilāha ʾillā anta.
O Allah! O He save Whom there is no god!
154
بِسْمِ ٱللَّهِ ٱلرَّحْمٰنِ ٱلرَّحِيمِ
bismi llāhi r-raḥmāni r-raḥīm.
In the Name of Allah, the All-beneficent, the All-merciful.
155
اللَّهُمَّ صَلِّ عَلَىٰ مُحَمَّدٍ وَآلِ مُحَمَّدٍ
allāhumma ṣalli ʿalā muḥammadin wa āli muḥammadin.
O Allah, bless Muhammad and the Household of Muhammad.
156
اللَّهُمَّ ٱفْعَلْ بِي مَا انْتَ اهْلُهُ
allāhumma ifʿal bī mā anta ahluhu.
O Allah, do to me that which You are worthy to do.
157
آمِينَ آمِينَ
ʾāmīn, ʾāmīn.
(please do) Respond, respond.
158
قُلْ هُوَ ٱللَّهُ احَدٌ
qul huwa allahu ahad.
Say: He, Allah, is One.
159
اللَّهُمَّ ٱصْنَعْ بِي مَا انْتَ اهْلُهُ
allāhumma iṣnaʿ biy mā anta ahluh.
O Allah, do with me that which You are worthy to do
160
وَلاَ تَصْنَعْ بِي مَا انَا اهْلُهُ
wa lā taṣnaʿ biy mā anā ahluh.
but do not do to me that which I deserve,
161
فَإِنَّكَ اهْلُ ٱلتَّقْوَىٰ وَاهْلُ ٱلْمَغْفِرَةِ
fa innaka ahlu al-taqwa wa ahlu al-maghfirah.
for You are worthy to be feared and worthy to forgive,
162
وَانَا اهْلُ ٱلذُّنُوبِ وَٱلْخَطَايَا
wa anā ahludh-dhunūbi wal-khaṭāyā.
while I am the one of sins and faults.
163
فَٱرْحَمْنِي يَا مَوْلاَيَ
fa'rḥamnii yaa mawlaaya
So, have mercy upon me, O my Lord,
164
وَانْتَ ارْحَمُ ٱلرَّاحِمِينَ
wa anta arhamu alrrahimeen.
and You are the most merciful of all those who show mercy.
165
لاَ حَوْلَ وَلاَ قُوَّةَ إِلاَّ بِٱللَّهِ
la ḥawla wa lā quwwata illā billāh.
There is neither power nor might save with Allah.
166
تَوَكَّلْتُ عَلَىٰ ٱلْحَيِّ ٱلَّذِي لاَ يَمُوتُ
tawakkaltu ʿalā al-ḥayyi alladhī lā yamūtu.
I trust in the Ever-living (Lord) Who never dies.
167
وَٱلْحَمْدُ لِلَّهِ ٱلَّذِي لَمْ يَتَّخِذْ وَلَداً
wa al-ḥamdu lillāhi alladhī lam yattakhidh waladā.
All praise be to Allah, Who begets no son,
168
وَلَمْ يَكُنْ لَهُ شَرِيكٌ فِي ٱلْمُلْكِ
walam yakun lahu sharikun fil mulk.
and has no partner in His dominion
169
وَلَمْ يَكُنْ لَهُ وَلِيٌّ مِنَ ٱلذُّلِّ
walam yakun lahu waliyyun mina al-dhulli.
nor needs He any to protect Him from humiliation:
170
وَكَبِّرْهُ تَكْبِيراً
wa kabbirhu takbīran.
yea, magnify Him for His greatness and glory!
