The Shaykh (Al-Mufid), may Allah سبحانه وتعالى have mercy on him, said: “It has been narrated that it (itikaf) is not to be except in a mosque in which a Prophet عليه السلام or the executor (wasi) of a Prophet عليه السلام has led the congregational prayer.
