The Shaykh (Al-Mufid), may Allah سبحانه وتعالى support him, said: ‘And whoever wishes to rise at the end of the night…’ up to his statement: ‘And whoever stands at the end of his night…’, all of this refers to the encouragement and merit of performing the night prayer (‘salat al-layl’) in its preferred time, particularly in the latter part of the night.
