فيحتمل أن يكون المراد بهذه الاحاديث من يريد قضاها جالسا مع تمكنه من القيام لانه والحال هذه ينبغي أن يصلي مكان كل ركعة ركعتين الذي يبين عما ذكرناه
So it is possible that what is meant by these narrations is someone who wishes to make up the ‘witr’ prayer while sitting, despite having the ability to stand. In such a case, it is appropriate that he prays two rak’ahs in place of each one. What clarifies and supports what we have mentioned is:
