قال الشيخ رحمه الله ويستحب أن يدعو الانسان في الوتر بهذا الدعاء وذكر الدعاء الى آخره الى قوله ثم يصلي ركعتي الفجر فلم نشتغل بتخريج أسانيد الدعاء لان الاشتغال بغيره أولى ومن أراد أن يقف على الدعاء نفسه فليأخذ من الكتاب ومما ورد في الحث على الدعاء في الوتر
The Shaykh (Al-Mufid), may Allah سبحانه وتعالى support him, said: ‘And it is recommended that a person supplicate in the witr with this supplication’ and he mentioned the supplication to its end, up to his statement: ‘then he performs the two rak‘ahs of Fajr.’ We did not occupy ourselves with tracing the chains of transmission of the supplication, as attending to other matters was more appropriate. And whoever wishes to see the supplication itself, let him refer to the book. As for what has been narrated encouraging supplication in the witr:
