These narrations indicate that the preferable (awla) practice in a state of residence (hadar) is to perform the adhan, because they include a concession specifically for the state of travel. And if the matter were not as we have stated, then specifying the concession for the case of travel would hold no benefit. The Shaykh (Al-Mufid), may Allah سبحانه وتعالى support him, said: "There is great merit in the adhan and the iqamah," up to his statement: "And it is not permissible to give the adhan for any of the prayers before their time has entered, except for Fajr."
