ومن سها عن التشهد في النافلة حتى يدخل في الركعة الثالثة ثم ذكر بعد الركوع فليلق الركوع ويقعد ويتشهد ويسلم وليس كذلك في الفريضة لان الفريضة إذا ذكر انه لم يتشهد وقد ركع مضى في صلاته ثم يتشهد بعد التسليم ويسجد سجدتي السهو وقد بيناه فيما مضى والذي يدل على ما قلناه
And whoever forgets the tashahhud in a recommended prayer (‘nafilah’) and enters into the third rak‘ah, then remembers after the ‘ruku’, he should leave the ‘ruku’, sit down, recite the tashahhud, and give the ‘taslim’. This is not the case in obligatory prayer (‘faridah’), because if one remembers after the ‘ruku’ that he did not recite the tashahhud, he should continue with his prayer, then recite the tashahhud after the ‘taslim’ and perform the two prostrations of forgetfulness (‘sajdatay al-sahw’).
