وقد روي من جهة العامة في فضل التخضير شئ كثير. قال الشيخ أيده الله تعالى: وَ قَدْ رُوِيَ عَنِ اَلصَّادِقِ عَلَيْهِ اَلسَّلاَمُ:« أَنَّ اَلْجَرِيدَةَ تَنْفَعُ اَلْمُحْسِنَ وَ اَلْمُسِيءَ».
It has also been narrated from general sources regarding the merit of using greenery in burial rites, with numerous reports emphasizing its benefits. The Shaykh (Al-Mufid), may Allah سبحانه وتعالى support him, said: “And it has been narrated from Imam Al-Sadiq عليه السلام: "Indeed, the palm branches benefit both the righteous and sinful."
