The Shaykh (Al-Mufid), may Allah سبحانه وتعالى support him, added: "It is disliked (Makruh) to heat water with fire for washing the deceased. However, if it is extremely cold during winter, then the water may be slightly warmed to enable the one performing the washing to carry out the ritual properly."
