The author of this book (may Allah سبحانه وتعالى be pleased with him) commented: People used to ride zamilahs, and if one of them wanted to dismount, they would do so by simply letting themselves fall from their mount without holding onto anything. They were forbidden from doing this to avoid anyone deliberately falling, dying as a result, and being considered as having taken their own life, thereby deserving punishment in the Fire. This is the meaning of the narration. In the time of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him and his family) and the Imams عليه السلام, people commonly rode zamilahs, and it was neither prohibited nor criticized in general.
