One who wishes to enter the mosque should do so with calmness and dignity, for mosques are the houses of Allah سبحانه وتعالى and the most beloved places to Him. The people most beloved to Allah سبحانه وتعالى, the Almighty, are those who enter first and leave last. When entering the mosque, one should step in with the right foot before the left and say; Bismillāhi wa billāhi, al-salāmu ‘alayka ayyuhā al-nabiyyu wa raḥmatullāhi wa barakātuh. Allāhumma ṣalli ‘alā Muḥammad wa āli Muḥammad, wa iftaḥ lanā abwāba raḥmatika, wa aj‘alnā min ‘ummār masājidika, jal thanā’u wajhika "In the name of Allah سبحانه وتعالى, and by Allah سبحانه وتعالى, peace be upon you, O’ Prophet, and the mercy and blessings of Allah سبحانه وتعالى. O’ Allah سبحانه وتعالى, bless Muhammad and the family of Muhammad. Open for us the doors of Your mercy, and make us among those who maintain Your mosques. Exalted is Your praise, O’ Lord عز وجل." When leaving, one should step out with the left foot before the right and say: Allāhumma ṣalli ‘alā Muḥammad wa āli Muḥammad, wa iftaḥ lanā bāba raḥmatika "O’ Allah سبحانه وتعالى, bless Muhammad and the family of Muhammad, and open for us the door of Your mercy”.
