562. Muhammad Bin Yahya, from Ahmad Bin Muhammad Bin Isa, from Ali Bin Al-Nu’man, from Al-Qasim the associate of Al-Mufazzal, and he was a truthful man, who said: ‘I heard Abu Abdullah (a.s) saying: ‘There is a group in the Masjid who publicise us (a.s) and publicise themselves. They are neither from us (a.s) nor are we (a.s) from them. I (a.s) rush away and hide, but they still uncover my (a.s) veil. May Allah (azwj) violate their veil. They are saying that I (a.s) am the Imam (a.s), but, by Allah (azwj), I (a.s) am not an Imam (a.s) except for the one who obeys me (a.s). So as for the one who disobeys me (a.s), I (a.s) am not an Imam (a.s) for him. Why are they attaching themselves to my (a.s) name, and not refraining from mentioning my (a.s) name from their mouths? By Allah (azwj), may He (azwj) not Gather me (a.s) and them in one abode’.
