About cupping
1 Ḥadīth

مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ يَحْيَى عَنْ أَحْمَدَ بْنِ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ عِيسَى عَنِ الْحَجَّالِ عَنْ ثَعْلَبَةَ بْنِ مَيْمُونٍ عَنْ عَمَّارٍ السَّابَاطِيِّ قَالَ قَالَ أَبُو عَبْدِ اللَّهِ (عليه السلام) مَا يَقُولُ مَنْ قِبَلَكُمْ فِي الْحِجَامَةِ قُلْتُ يَزْعُمُونَ أَنَّهَا عَلَى الرِّيقِ أَفْضَلُ مِنْهَا عَلَى الطَّعَامِ قَالَ لَا هِيَ عَلَى الطَّعَامِ أَدَرُّ لِلْعُرُوقِ وَ أَقْوَى لِلْبَدَنِ.


407. Muhammad Bin Yahya, fro Ahmad Bin Muhammad Bin Isa, from Al-Hajjaal, from Sa’albat Bin Maymoun, from Ammaar Al-Sabaty who said: Abu Abdullah (a.s) said: ‘What are they saying in front of you with regards to cupping?’ I said, ‘They are alleging that it is better upon an empty stomach than after a meal’. He (a.s) said: ‘No, it makes the blood to flow more after a meal, and is strengthening for the body’.
