Book 1, Chapter 249

About the words of Allah ‘...the words of your Lord are complete…’ (6:115)
1 Ḥadīth

عَلِيُّ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ عَنْ أَحْمَدَ بْنِ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ خَالِدٍ الْبَرْقِيِّ عَنْ أَبِيهِ عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ سِنَانٍ عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ مَرْوَانَ قَالَ تَلَا أَبُو عَبْدِ اللَّهِ (عليه السلام) وَ تَمَّتْ كَلِمَتُ رَبِّكَ الْحُسْنَى صِدْقاً وَ عَدْلًا فَقُلْتُ جُعِلْتُ فِدَاكَ إِنَّمَا نَقْرَؤُهَا وَ تَمَّتْ كَلِمَةُ رَبِّكَ صِدْقاً وَ عَدْلًا فَقَالَ إِنَّ فِيهَا الْحُسْنَى.


249. Ali Bin Ibrahim, from Ahmad Bin Muhammad Bin Khalid Al-Barqy, from his father, from Muhammad Bin Sinan, from Muhammad bin Marwaan who said: Abu Abdullah (a.s) recited: “[6:115] And the ‘beautiful’ word of your Lord has been accomplished truly and justly”. I said, ‘May I be sacrificed for you (a.s), but rather we are reciting it as “[6:115] And the word of your Lord has been accomplished truly and justly”. So he (a.s) said: ‘Surely, in it is ‘the beautiful’’
