عِدَّةٌ مِنْ أَصْحَابِنَا عَنْ سَهْلِ بْنِ زِيَادٍ عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ عِيسَى عَنْ سَلَمَةَ بْنِ أَبِي حَبَّةَ عَنْ أَبِي عَبْدِ اللَّهِ ( عليه السلام ) قَالَ لُبْسُ الْخُفِّ يَزِيدُ فِي قُوَّةِ الْبَصَرِ .
1. A number of our people have narrated from Sahl ibn Ziyad from Muhammad ibn ‘Isa from Salmah ibn abu Khadijah who has said the following: “Abu ‘Abd Allah (a.s.), has said, ‘If one wears al-Khuff (half-boot) his eyesight sharpens.’”
عِدَّةٌ مِنْ أَصْحَابِنَا عَنْ أَحْمَدَ بْنِ أَبِي عَبْدِ اللَّهِ عَنِ الْعَوْسِيِّ عَنْ أَبِي جَعْفَرٍ الْمُسْلِيِّ عَنْ سُلَيْمَانَ بْنِ سَعْدٍ عَنْ مَنِيعٍ قَالَ قَالَ أَبُو جَعْفَرٍ ( عليه السلام ) لُبْسُ الْخُفِّ أَمَانٌ مِنَ السِّلِّ .
2. A number of our people have narrated from Ahmad ibn abu ‘Abd Allah from al-‘Awsiy from abu Ja’far, al-Musliy from Sulayman ibn Sa‘d from Muni’ who has said the following: “Abu Ja‘far (a.s.), has said, ‘Wearing al-Khuff (half-boot) provides immunity from tuberculoses.’”
عَنْهُ عَنْ بَعْضِ أَصْحَابِنَا عَنْ مُبَارَكٍ غُلَامِ الْعَقَرْقُوفِيِّ عَنْ أَبِي عَبْدِ اللَّهِ ( عليه السلام ) قَالَ إِدْمَانُ لُبْسِ الْخُفِّ أَمَانٌ مِنَ السِّلِّ.
3. It is narrated from the narrator of the previous Hadith from certain persons of our people from Mubarak Ghulam al-‘Aqarqufiy who has said the following: “Abu ‘Abd Allah (a.s.), has said, ‘Continuously wearing al-Khuff (half-boot) provides immunity against tuberculoses.’”
عَنْهُ عَنْ بَعْضِ مَنْ ذَكَرَهُ عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ سِنَانٍ عَنْ دَاوُدَ الرَّقِّيِّ قَالَ خَرَجْتُ مَعَ أَبِي عَبْدِ اللَّهِ ( عليه السلام ) إِلَى يَنْبُعَ فَلَمَّا خَرَجَ رَأَيْتُ عَلَيْهِ خُفّاً أَحْمَرَ فَقُلْتُ لَهُ جُعِلْتُ فِدَاكَ مَا هَذَا الْخُفُّ الْأَحْمَرُ الَّذِي أَرَاهُ عَلَيْكَ فَقَالَ خُفٌّ اتَّخَذْتُهُ لِلسَّفَرِ وَ هُوَ أَبْقَى عَلَى الطِّينِ وَ الْمَطَرِ وَ أَحْمَلُ لَهُ قُلْتُ فَأَتَّخِذُهَا وَ أَلْبَسُهَا قَالَ أَمَّا فِي السَّفَرِ فَنَعَمْ وَ أَمَّا فِي الْحَضَرِ فَلَا تَعْدِلَنَّ بِالسَّوَادِ شَيْئاً .
4. It is narrated from the narrator of the previous Hadith from Salim ibn Mukram from Muhammad ibn Sinan from Dawud al-Riqqiy who has said the following: “I once traveled with abu ‘Abd Allah (a.s.), to Yanbu‘. When he (the Imam) came out, I saw him wearing a red al-Khuff (half-boot). I then said, ‘I pray to Allah to keep my soul in service for your cause, what kind of shoe is this red shoe which I see you wearing?’ He (the Imam) said, ‘It is al- Khuff (half-boot) which I have found for traveling and it is good in clay (mud) and rain and more durable.’ I then asked, ‘Can I have such footgear?’ He (the Imam) said, ‘During a journey yes, you can have it, but not when you are at home; and do not exchange a black one for anything else.’” (Apparently it applies to al-Khuff (half-boot) only).
مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ يَحْيَى عَنْ أَحْمَدَ بْنِ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ عِيسَى عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ سِنَانٍ عَنْ زِيَادِ بْنِ الْمُنْذِرِ قَالَ دَخَلْتُ عَلَى أَبِي جَعْفَرٍ ( عليه السلام ) وَ عَلَيَّ خُفٌّ مَقْشُورٌ فَقَالَ يَا زِيَادُ مَا هَذَا الْخُفُّ الَّذِي أَرَاهُ عَلَيْكَ قُلْتُ خُفٌّ اتَّخَذْتُهُ فَقَالَ أَ مَا عَلِمْتَ أَنَّ الْبِيضَ مِنَ الْخِفَافِ يَعْنِي الْمَقْشُورَةَ مِنْ لِبَاسِ الْجَبَابِرَةِ وَ هُمْ أَوَّلُ مَنِ اتَّخَذَهَا وَ الْحُمْرَ مِنْ لِبَاسِ الْأَكَاسِرَةِ وَ هُمْ أَوَّلُ مَنِ اتَّخَذَهَا وَ السُّودَ مِنْ لِبَاسِ بَنِي هَاشِمٍ وَ سُنَّةٌ .
5. Muhammad ibn Yahya has narrated from Ahmad ibn Muhammad ibn ‘Isa from Muhammad ibn Sinan from Ziyad ibn al-Mundhir who has said the following: “I once visited abu Ja’far (a.s.), and I was wearing al-Khuff (half-boot) which was Maqshurah. He (the Imam) said, ‘O, Ziyad, what is this which I see you wearing?’ I replied, ‘It is al- Khuff (half-boot) that I have found.’ He (the Imam) said, ‘Did you know that the white one of al-Khuff (half-boot) that is, al-Maqshurah is of the footgear of the tyrants and they were the ones who made it? The red ones are of the footgear of Kisra’s (Persian kings) and they were the first ones who made it. The black ones are of the footgear of banu Hashim and of the noble tradition.’”
عِدَّةٌ مِنْ أَصْحَابِنَا عَنْ سَهْلِ بْنِ زِيَادٍ عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ عَنْ عَلِيٍّ الْبَغْدَادِيِّ عَنْ أَبِي الْحَسَنِ الضَّرِيرِ عَنْ أَبِي سَلَمَةَ السَّرَّاجِ عَنْ أَبِي عَبْدِ اللَّهِ ( عليه السلام ) قَالَ إِدْمَانُ الْخُفِّ يَقِي مِيتَةَ السَّوْءِ .
6. A number of our people have narrated from Sahl ibn Ziyad from Muhammad ibn ‘Abd Allah from Ali al-Baghdadiy from abu al- Hassan al-Darir from abu Salmah al-Sarraj who has said the following: “Abu ‘Abd Allah (a.s.), has said, ‘Continuously wearing al-Khuff (half-boot) is protection against dying badly.’”
