مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ يَعْقُوبَ عَنْ عَلِيِّ بْنِ مُحَمَّدٍ رَفَعَهُ عَنْ أَبِي عَبْدِ اَللَّهِ عَلَيْهِ اَلسَّلاَمُ قَالَ:« إِذَا كَانَ لَيْلَةُ اَلنِّصْفِ مِنْ شَعْبَانَ فَصَلِّ أَرْبَعَ رَكَعَاتٍ تَقْرَأُ فِي كُلِّ رَكْعَةٍ اَلْحَمْدَ وَ« قُلْ هُوَ اَللّٰهُ أَحَدٌ» مِائَةَ مَرَّةٍ فَإِذَا فَرَغْتَ فَقُلِ اَللَّهُمَّ إِنِّي إِلَيْكَ فَقِيرٌ وَ إِنِّي عَائِذٌ بِكَ وَ مِنْكَ خَائِفٌ وَ بِكَ مُسْتَجِيرٌ رَبِّ لاَ تُبَدِّلِ اِسْمِي وَ لاَ تُغَيِّرْ جِسْمِي رَبِّ لاَ تُجْهِدْ بَلاَئِي وَ لاَ تُشْمِتْ بِي أَعْدَائِي أَعُوذُ بِعَفْوِكَ مِنْ عِقَابِكَ وَ أَعُوذُ بِرِضَاكَ مِنْ سَخَطِكَ وَ أَعُوذُ بِرَحْمَتِكَ مِنْ عَذَابِكَ وَ أَعُوذُ بِكَ مِنْكَ جَلَّ ثَنَاؤُكَ أَنْتَ كَمَا أَثْنَيْتَ عَلَى نَفْسِكَ وَ فَوْقَ مَا يَقُولُ اَلْقَائِلُونَ» قَالَ وَ قَالَ أَبُو عَبْدِ اَللَّهِ عَلَيْهِ اَلسَّلاَمُ يَوْمُ سَبْعَةٍ وَعِشْرِينَ مِنْ رَجَبٍ نُبِّئَ فِيهِ رَسُولُ اَللَّهِ صَلَّى اَللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَآلِهِ مَنْ صَلَّى فِيهِ أَيَّ وَقْتٍ شَاءَ اِثْنَتَيْ عَشْرَةَ رَكْعَةً يَقْرَأُ فِي كُلِّ رَكْعَةٍ بِأُمِّ اَلْقُرْآنِ وَسُورَةٍ مِمَّا تَيَسَّرَ فَإِذَا فَرَغَ وَ سَلَّمَ جَلَسَ مَكَانَهُ ثُمَّ قَرَأَ أُمَّ اَلْقُرْآنِ أَرْبَعَ مَرَّاتٍ وَ اَلْمُعَوِّذَاتِ اَلثَّلاَثَ كُلَّ وَاحِدَةٍ أَرْبَعَ مَرَّاتٍ فَإِذَا فَرَغَ وَ هُوَ فِي مَكَانِهِ قَالَ لاَ إِلَهَ إِلاَّ اَللَّهُ وَ اَللَّهُ أَكْبَرُ وَ اَلْحَمْدُ لِلَّهِ وَ سُبْحَانَ اَللَّهِ وَ لاَ حَوْلَ وَ لاَ قُوَّةَ إِلاَّ بِاللَّهِ أَرْبَعَ مَرَّاتٍ ثُمَّ يَقُولُ اَللَّهُ اَللَّهُ رَبِّي وَ لاَ أُشْرِكُ بِهِ شَيْئاً أَرْبَعَ مَرَّاتٍ ثُمَّ يَدْعُو فَلاَ يَدْعُو بِشَيْءٍ إِلاَّ اُسْتُجِيبَ لَهُ فِي كُلِّ حَاجَةٍ إِلاَّ أَنْ يَدْعُوَ فِي جَائِحَةِ قَوْمٍ أَوْ قَطِيعَةِ رَحِمٍ»
Muhammad ibn Yaqub from Ali ibn Muhammad, who transmitted it with a raised chain from Abu Abdillah (a.s), peace be upon him, who said: Imam al-Sadiq (a.s) said: “When it is the night of the middle of Shaban, pray four rak’ahs. In each rak’ah, recite ‘al-Hamd’ (Surah al-Fatihah) and ‘Qul Huwa Allahu Ahad’ (Surah Ikhlas) one hundred times. When you have finished, say: ‘O’ Allah (swt), indeed I am in need before You (azj), And I seek refuge in You (azj), And I fear from You (azj), And I seek protection through You (azj). My Lord (azj), do not change my name, And do not alter my body. My Lord (azj), do not burden me with severe trials, And do not let my enemies gloat over me. I seek refuge in Your pardon from Your punishment, And I seek refuge in Your pleasure from Your anger, And I seek refuge in Your mercy from Your chastisement, And I seek refuge in You (azj), from You (azj). Exalted is Your praise. You (azj) are as You (azj) have praised Yourself, and above what those who speak may say.’” He (Ibn Muhammad) said “And Abu Abdillah (a.s), peace be upon him, also said: ‘On the twenty-seventh day of Rajab, the Messenger of Allah (swt), may Allah (swt) bless him and his family, was commissioned (nubbi’a - received revelation for the first time). Whoever prays on that day, at any time he wishes, twelve rak‘ahs; reciting in each rak‘ah the ‘Umm al-Kitab’ (Surah Al Fatihah) and any surah that is easy for him, And when he finishes and gives the salam, he remains seated in his place. Then recites the ‘Umm al-Kitab’ (Surah Al Fatihah), (four times). And the three chapters of seeking refuge (al-Mu‘awwidhat: ‘Qul A‘udhu bi-Rabbi al-Falaq’ (Surah al-Falaq), (four times). And ‘Qul A‘udhu bi-Rabbi al-Nas’ (Surah an-Nas)), (four times). Then, while still seated, he says: ‘There is no God but Allah (swt), Allah (swt) is the Greatest, (four times). praise be to Allah (swt), glory be to Allah (swt), (four times). And there is no power and no strength except with Allah (swt)’ (four times). Then he says: ‘Allah (swt), Allah (swt) is my Lord (azj), and I do not associate anything with Him (azj)’, (four times). Then he supplicates, and he will not ask for anything except that he will be answered in every need, unless he prays for a calamity upon a people or for the severing of family ties.”
