Commentary 1

Allah (swt), the Glorified and Exalted, said: "They ask you what they should spend. Say: 'What is surplus.'" (Surah Al-Baqarah, 2:219) – and 'surplus' refers to moderation. And Allah (swt), the Glorified and Exalted, also said: "And those who, when they spend, are neither extravagant nor miserly, but keep to a balance between those extremes." (Surah Al-Furqan, 25:67) – 'balance' refers to moderation.
