43. Amīr al-mu’minīn, peace be upon him, said about Khabbāb ibn al-Aratt [1]: May Allāh have mercy on Khabbāb ibn al-Aratt since he accepted Islam willingly, immigrated (from Mecca) obediently, remained content with what sufficed him, was pleased with Allāh and lived the life of a mujāhid (holy soldier).

43. (Il dit au sujet de Khahab Ibn Al Aratt): Que Dieu ait en pitié Khabab ibn Al Aratt! Il est entré dans l’Islam de plein gré, a émigré par obéissance, s’est contenté de vivre frugalement, a fait la volonté de Dieu et a vécu dans le Jihad.
