Dignity eroded by begging

Ḥadīth 423

٣٤٦. وَقَالَ (عليه ‏السلام): مَاءُ وَجْهِكَ جَامِدٌ يُقْطِرُهُ السُّؤَالُ، فَانْظُرْ عِنْدَ مَنْ تُقْطِرُهُ.

346. Amīr al-mu’minīn, peace be upon him, said: The dignity of your face is solid but begging dissolves it away; therefore, look carefully before whom you dissolve it.
