Back to book1ـ مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ يَحْيَى عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ الْحُسَيْنِ وَأَحْمَدَ بْنِ مُحَمَّدٍ جَمِيعاً عَنْ عُثْمَانَ بْنِ عِيسَى عَنْ سَمَاعَةَ قَالَ قَالَ أَبُو عَبْدِ الله (عَلَيْهِ الْسَّلام) يَنْبَغِي لِلإِمَامِ الَّذِي يَخْطُبُ النَّاسَ يَوْمَ الْجُمُعَةِ أَنْ يَلْبَسَ عِمَامَةً فِي الشِّتَاءِ وَالصَّيْفِ وَيَتَرَدَّى بِبُرْدٍ يَمَنِيٍّ أَوْ عَدَنِيٍّ وَيَخْطُبَ وَهُوَ قَائِمٌ يَحْمَدُ الله وَيُثْنِي عَلَيْهِ ثُمَّ يُوصِي بِتَقْوَى الله وَيَقْرَأُ سُورَةً مِنَ الْقُرْآنِ صَغِيرَةً ثُمَّ يَجْلِسُ ثُمَّ يَقُومُ فَيَحْمَدُ الله وَيُثْنِي عَلَيْهِ وَيُصَلِّي عَلَى مُحَمَّدٍ (صلّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَآلِه) وَعَلَى أَئِمَّةِ الْمُسْلِمِينَ وَيَسْتَغْفِرُ لِلْمُؤْمِنِينَ وَالْمُؤْمِنَاتِ فَإِذَا فَرَغَ مِنْ هَذَا أَقَامَ الْمُؤَذِّنُ فَصَلَّى بِالنَّاسِ رَكْعَتَيْنِ يَقْرَأُ فِي الأولَى بِسُورَةِ الْجُمُعَةِ وَفِي الثَّانِيَةِ بِسُورَةِ الْمُنَافِقِينَ.
1. Muhammad ibn Yahya has narrated from Muhammad ibn al-Husayn and Ahmad ibn Muhammad from all from ‘Uthman ibn ‘Isa from Sama‘ah who has said the following: “Abu ‘Abd Allah, ‘Alayhi al-Salam, has said, ‘It is desirable for the Imam who delivers sermons for the people on Friday to wear turban in winter and a Yamaniy or ‘Adaniy gown. He must deliver the sermon in a standing position. In it he praises Allah and speaks of His glory, then advises people to observe piety (taqwa’) before Allah, reads a small Surah (chapter) from al-Quran. He then sits down, then stands up and praises Allah, speaks of His glory and says Salawat, (O Allah, grant compensation to Muhammad and his family worthy of their services to Your cause). He prays for the Imam of the Muslims and asks forgiveness from Allah for the believers, male and female. When he completes the sermon the caller readies people for Salah (prayer) and the Imam performs Salah (prayer) of two Rak‘at. In the first Rak‘at he reads Surah (chapter) al-Jumu‘ah after al-Fatihah, and in the second Rak‘at Surah (chapter) al-Munafiqun after al-Fatihah.”’

2ـ مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ يَحْيَى عَنْ أَحْمَدَ بْنِ مُحَمَّدٍ عَنِ الْحُسَيْنِ بْنِ سَعِيدٍ عَنْ صَفْوَانَ بْنِ يَحْيَى عَنِ الْعَلاَءِ عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ مُسْلِمٍ عَنْ أَبِي عَبْدِ الله (عَلَيْهِ الْسَّلام) قَالَ إِذَا خَطَبَ الإِمَامُ يَوْمَ الْجُمُعَةِ فَلاَ يَنْبَغِي لأَحَدٍ أَنْ يَتَكَلَّمَ حَتَّى يَفْرُغَ الإِمَامُ مِنْ خُطْبَتِهِ وَإِذَا فَرَغَ الإِمَامُ مِنَ الْخُطْبَتَيْنِ تَكَلَّمَ مَا بَيْنَهُ وَبَيْنَ أَنْ تُقَامَ الصَّلاَةُ فَإِنْ سَمِعَ الْقِرَاءَةَ أَوْ لَمْ يَسْمَعْ أَجْزَأَهُ.
2. Muhammad ibn Yahya has narrated from Ahmad ibn Muhammad from al-Husayn ibn Sa‘id from Safwan ibn Yahya from al-‘Ala’ from Muhammad ibn Muslim who has said the following: “Abu ‘Abd Allah, ‘Alayhi al-Salam, has said, ‘When the Imam delivers the sermon on Friday, it is not desirable for anyone to speak until he completes the sermon. When the Imam completes the sermons he can speak until Salah (prayer) begins, regardless of whether he hears the recitation or not; it is sufficient.’”

3ـ الْحُسَيْنُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ عَنْ عَبْدِ الله بْنِ عَامِرٍ عَنْ عَلِيِّ بْنِ مَهْزِيَارَ عَنْ عُثْمَانَ بْنِ عِيسَى عَنْ أَبِي مَرْيَمَ عَنْ أَبِي جَعْفَرٍ (عَلَيْهِ الْسَّلام) قَالَ سَأَلْتُهُ عَنْ خُطْبَةِ رَسُولِ الله (صلّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَآلِه) أَ قَبْلَ الصَّلاَةِ أَوْ بَعْدُ فَقَالَ قَبْلَ الصَّلاَةِ يَخْطُبُ ثُمَّ يُصَلِّي.
3. Al-Husayn ibn Muhammad has narrated from ‘Abd Allah ibn ‘Amir from Ali ibn Mahziyar from ‘Uthman ibn ‘Isa from abu Maryam who has said the following: “I once asked abu Ja‘far, ‘Alayhi al-Salam, about the sermon of the Messenger of Allah if it was before or after Salah (prayer). He (the Imam) said, ‘The Messenger of Allah would first deliver sermons, then perform Salah (prayer).”’

4ـ مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ يَحْيَى عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ الْحُسَيْنِ عَنْ عُثْمَانَ بْنِ عِيسَى عَنْ سَمَاعَةَ قَالَ سَأَلْتُ أَبَا عَبْدِ الله (عَلَيْهِ الْسَّلام) عَنِ الصَّلاَةِ يَوْمَ الْجُمُعَةِ فَقَالَ أَمَّا مَعَ الإِمَامِ فَرَكْعَتَانِ وَأَمَّا مَنْ يُصَلِّي وَحْدَهُ فَهِيَ أَرْبَعُ رَكَعَاتٍ بِمَنْزِلَةِ الظُّهْرِ يَعْنِي إِذَا كَانَ إِمَامٌ يَخْطُبُ فَأَمَّا إِذَا لَمْ يَكُنْ إِمَامٌ يَخْطُبُ فَهِيَ أَرْبَعُ رَكَعَاتٍ وَإِنْ صَلَّوْا جَمَاعَةً.
4. Muhammad ibn Yahya has narrated from Muhammad ibn al-Husayn from ‘Uthman ibn ‘Isa from Sama‘ah who has said the following: “I once asked abu ‘Abd Allah, ‘Alayhi al-Salam, about Salah (prayer) on Friday. He (the Imam) said, ‘With Imam it is two Rak‘at but if one performs it alone, it is four Rak‘at like al-Dhuhr Salah (prayer). If there is an Imam he delivers a speech but if the Imam who delivers a speech is not there, then it is four Rak‘at even if performed in congregation.’”

5ـ مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ يَحْيَى عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ الْحُسَيْنِ عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ يَحْيَى الْخَزَّازِ عَنْ حَفْصِ بْنِ غِيَاثٍ عَنْ جَعْفَرٍ عَنْ أَبِيهِ (عَلَيْهِ الْسَّلام) قَالَ الأذَانُ الثَّالِثُ يَوْمَ الْجُمُعَةِ بِدْعَةٌ.
5. Muhammad ibn Yahya has narrated from Muhammad ibn al-Husayn from Muhammad ibn Yahya al-Khazzaz from Hafs ibn al- Ghiyath who has said the following: “Ja‘far, abu ‘Abd Allah, ‘Alayhi al-Salam, has said that his father, ‘Alayhi al-Salam, has said, ‘A third Adhan on Friday is a heretical invention.’”

6ـ مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ يَحْيَى عَنْ أَحْمَدَ بْنِ مُحَمَّدٍ عَنِ الْحُسَيْنِ بْنِ سَعِيدٍ عَنِ النَّضْرِ بْنِ سُوَيْدٍ عَنْ يَحْيَى الْحَلَبِيِّ عَنْ بُرَيْدِ بْنِ مُعَاوِيَةَ عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ مُسْلِمٍ عَنْ أَبِي جَعْفَرٍ (عَلَيْهِ الْسَّلام) فِي خُطْبَةِ يَوْمِ الْجُمُعَةِ الْخُطْبَةُ الأولَى الْحَمْدُ لله نَحْمَدُهُ وَنَسْتَعِينُهُ وَنَسْتَغْفِرُهُ وَنَسْتَهْدِيهِ وَنَعُوذُ بِالله مِنْ شُرُورِ أَنْفُسِنَا وَمِنْ سَيِّئَاتِ أَعْمَالِنَا مَنْ يَهْدِي الله فَلاَ مُضِلَّ لَهُ وَمَنْ يُضْلِلْ فَلاَ هَادِيَ لَهُ وَأَشْهَدُ أَنْ لاَ إِلَهَ إِلاَّ الله وَحْدَهُ لاَ شَرِيكَ لَهُ وَأَشْهَدُ أَنَّ مُحَمَّداً عَبْدُهُ وَرَسُولُهُ انْتَجَبَهُ لِوَلاَيَتِهِ وَاخْتَصَّهُ بِرِسَالَتِهِ وَأَكْرَمَهُ بِالنُّبُوَّةِ أَمِيناً عَلَى غَيْبِهِ وَرَحْمَةً لِلْعَالَمِينَ وَصَلَّى الله عَلَى مُحَمَّدٍ وَآلِهِ وَعَلَيْهِمُ السَّلاَمُ أُوصِيكُمْ عِبَادَ الله بِتَقْوَى الله وَأُخَوِّفُكُمْ مِنْ عِقَابِهِ فَإِنَّ الله يُنْجِي مَنِ اتَّقَاهُ بِمَفَازَتِهِمْ لاَ يَمَسُّهُمُ السُّوءُ وَلاَ هُمْ يَحْزَنُونَ وَيُكْرِمُ مَنْ خَافَهُ يَقِيهِمْ شَرَّ مَا خَافُوا وَيُلَقِّيهِمْ نَضْرَةً وَسُرُوراً وَأُرَغِّبُكُمْ فِي كَرَامَةِ الله الدَّائِمَةِ وَأُخَوِّفُكُمْ عِقَابَهُ الَّذِي لاَ انْقِطَاعَ لَهُ وَلاَ نَجَاةَ لِمَنِ اسْتَوْجَبَهُ فَلاَ تَغُرَّنَّكُمُ الدُّنْيَا وَلاَ تَرْكَنُوا إِلَيْهَا فَإِنَّهَا دَارُ غُرُورٍ كَتَبَ الله عَلَيْهَا وَعَلَى أَهْلِهَا الْفَنَاءَ فَتَزَوَّدُوا مِنْهَا الَّذِي أَكْرَمَكُمُ الله بِهِ مِنَ التَّقْوَى وَالْعَمَلِ الصَّالِحِ فَإِنَّهُ لاَ يَصِلُ إِلَى الله مِنْ أَعْمَالِ الْعِبَادِ إِلاَّ مَا خَلَصَ مِنْهَا وَلاَ يَتَقَبَّلُ الله إِلاَّ مِنَ الْمُتَّقِينَ وَقَدْ أَخْبَرَكُمُ الله عَنْ مَنَازِلِ مَنْ آمَنَ وَعَمِلَ صَالِحاً وَعَنْ مَنَازِلِ مَنْ كَفَرَ وَعَمِلَ فِي غَيْرِ سَبِيلِهِ وَقَالَ ذلِكَ يَوْمٌ مَجْمُوعٌ لَهُ النَّاسُ وَذلِكَ يَوْمٌ مَشْهُودٌ. وَما نُؤَخِّرُهُ إِلاَّ لأَجَلٍ مَعْدُودٍ. يَوْمَ يَأْتِ لا تَكَلَّمُ نَفْسٌ إِلاَّ بِإِذْنِهِ فَمِنْهُمْ شَقِيٌّ وَسَعِيدٌ. فَأَمَّا الَّذِينَ شَقُوا فَفِي النَّارِ لَهُمْ فِيها زَفِيرٌ وَشَهِيقٌ. خالِدِينَ فِيها ما دامَتِ السَّماواتُ وَالأرْضُ إِلاَّ ما شاءَ رَبُّكَ إِنَّ رَبَّكَ فَعَّالٌ لِما يُرِيدُ. وَأَمَّا الَّذِينَ سُعِدُوا فَفِي الْجَنَّةِ خالِدِينَ فِيها ما دامَتِ السَّماواتُ وَالأرْضُ إِلاَّ ما شاءَ رَبُّكَ عَطاءً غَيْرَ مَجْذُوذٍ نَسْأَلُ الله الَّذِي جَمَعَنَا لِهَذَا الْجَمْعِ أَنْ يُبَارِكَ لَنَا فِي يَوْمِنَا هَذَا وَأَنْ يَرْحَمَنَا جَمِيعاً إِنَّهُ عَلَى كُلِّ شَيْءٍ قَدِيرٌ إِنَّ كِتَابَ الله أَصْدَقُ الْحَدِيثِ وَأَحْسَنُ الْقِصَصِ وَقَالَ الله عَزَّ وَجَلَّ وَإِذا قُرِئَ الْقُرْآنُ فَاسْتَمِعُوا لَهُ وَأَنْصِتُوا لَعَلَّكُمْ تُرْحَمُونَ فَاسْمَعُوا طَاعَةَ الله وَأَنْصِتُوا ابْتِغَاءَ رَحْمَتِهِ ثُمَّ اقْرَأْ سُورَةً مِنَ الْقُرْآنِ وَادْعُ رَبَّكَ وَصَلِّ عَلَى النَّبِيِّ (صلّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَآلِه) وَادْعُ لِلْمُؤْمِنِينَ وَالْمُؤْمِنَاتِ ثُمَّ تَجْلِسُ قَدْرَ مَا تَمَكَّنُ هُنَيْهَةً ثُمَّ تَقُومُ فَتَقُولُ الْحَمْدُ لله نَحْمَدُهُ وَنَسْتَعِينُهُ وَنَسْتَغْفِرُهُ وَنَسْتَهْدِيهِ وَنُؤْمِنُ بِهِ وَنَتَوَكَّلُ عَلَيْهِ وَنَعُوذُ بِالله مِنْ شُرُورِ أَنْفُسِنَا وَمِنْ سَيِّئَاتِ أَعْمَالِنَا مَنْ يَهْدِي الله فَلاَ مُضِلَّ لَهُ وَمَنْ يُضْلِلْ فَلاَ هَادِيَ لَهُ وَأَشْهَدُ أَنْ لاَ إِلَهَ إِلاَّ الله وَحْدَهُ لاَ شَرِيكَ لَهُ وَأَشْهَدُ أَنْ مُحَمَّداً عَبْدُهُ وَرَسُولُهُ أَرْسَلَهُ بِالْهُدَى وَدِينِ الْحَقِّ لِيُظْهِرَهُ عَلَى الدِّينِ كُلِّهِ وَلَوْ كَرِهَ الْمُشْرِكُونَ وَجَعَلَهُ رَحْمَةً لِلْعَالَمِينَ بَشِيراً وَنَذِيراً وَدَاعِياً إِلَى الله بِإِذْنِهِ وَسِرَاجاً مُنِيراً مَنْ يُطِعِ الله وَرَسُولَهُ فَقَدْ رَشَدَ وَمَنْ يَعْصِهِمَا فَقَدْ غَوَى أُوصِيكُمْ عِبَادَ الله بِتَقْوَى الله الَّذِي يَنْفَعُ بِطَاعَتِهِ مَنْ أَطَاعَهُ وَالَّذِي يَضُرُّ بِمَعْصِيَتِهِ مَنْ عَصَاهُ الَّذِي إِلَيْهِ مَعَادُكُمْ وَعَلَيْهِ حِسَابُكُمْ فَإِنَّ التَّقْوَى وَصِيَّةُ الله فِيكُمْ وَفِي الَّذِينَ مِنْ قَبْلِكُمْ قَالَ الله عَزَّ وَجَلَّ وَلَقَدْ وَصَّيْنَا الَّذِينَ أُوتُوا الْكِتابَ مِنْ قَبْلِكُمْ وَإِيَّاكُمْ أَنِ اتَّقُوا الله وَإِنْ تَكْفُرُوا فَإِنَّ لله ما فِي السَّماواتِ وَما فِي الأرْضِ وَكانَ الله غَنِيًّا حَمِيداً انْتَفِعُوا بِمَوْعِظَةِ الله وَالْزَمُوا كِتَابَهُ فَإِنَّهُ أَبْلَغُ الْمَوْعِظَةِ وَخَيْرُ الأمُورِ فِي الْمَعَادِ عَاقِبَةً وَلَقَدِ اتَّخَذَ الله الْحُجَّةَ فَلاَ يَهْلِكُ مَنْ هَلَكَ إِلاَّ عَنْ بَيِّنَةٍ وَلاَ يَحْيَى مَنْ حَيَّ إِلاَّ عَنْ بَيِّنَةٍ وَقَدْ بَلَّغَ رَسُولُ الله (صلّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَآلِه) الَّذِي أُرْسِلَ بِهِ فَالْزَمُوا وَصِيَّتَهُ وَمَا تَرَكَ فِيكُمْ مِنْ بَعْدِهِ مِنَ الثَّقَلَيْنِ كِتَابِ الله وَأَهْلِ بَيْتِهِ اللَّذَيْنِ لاَ يَضِلُّ مَنْ تَمَسَّكَ بِهِمَا وَلاَ يَهْتَدِي مَنْ تَرَكَهُمَا اللهمَّ صَلِّ عَلَى مُحَمَّدٍ عَبْدِكَ وَرَسُولِكَ سَيِّدِ الْمُرْسَلِينَ وَإِمَامِ الْمُتَّقِينَ وَرَسُولِ رَبِّ الْعَالَمِينَ ثُمَّ تَقُولُ اللهمَّ صَلِّ عَلَى أَمِيرِ الْمُؤْمِنِينَ وَوَصِيِّ رَسُولِ رَبِّ الْعَالَمِينَ ثُمَّ تُسَمِّي الأئِمَّةَ حَتَّى تَنْتَهِيَ إِلَى صَاحِبِكَ ثُمَّ تَقُولُ افْتَحْ لَهُ فَتْحاً يَسِيراً وَانْصُرْهُ نَصْراً عَزِيزاً اللهمَّ أَظْهِرْ بِهِ دِينَكَ وَسُنَّةَ نَبِيِّكَ حَتَّى لاَ يَسْتَخْفِيَ بِشَيْءٍ مِنَ الْحَقِّ مَخَافَةَ أَحَدٍ مِنَ الْخَلْقِ. اللهمَّ إِنَّا نَرْغَبُ إِلَيْكَ فِي دَوْلَةٍ كَرِيمَةٍ تُعِزُّ بِهَا الإِسْلاَمَ وَأَهْلَهُ وَتُذِلُّ بِهَا النِّفَاقَ وَأَهْلَهُ وَتَجْعَلُنَا فِيهَا مِنَ الدُّعَاةِ إِلَى طَاعَتِكَ وَالْقَادَةِ فِي سَبِيلِكَ وَتَرْزُقُنَا بِهَا كَرَامَةَ الدُّنْيَا وَالآخِرَةِ اللهمَّ مَا حَمَّلْتَنَا مِنَ الْحَقِّ فَعَرِّفْنَاهُ وَمَا قَصُرْنَا عَنْهُ فَعَلِّمْنَاهُ ثُمَّ يَدْعُو الله عَلَى عَدُوِّهِ وَيَسْأَلُ لِنَفْسِهِ وَأَصْحَابِهِ ثُمَّ يَرْفَعُونَ أَيْدِيَهُمْ فَيَسْأَلُونَ الله حَوَائِجَهُمْ كُلَّهَا حَتَّى إِذَا فَرَغَ مِنْ ذَلِكَ قَالَ اللهمَّ اسْتَجِبْ لَنَا وَيَكُونُ آخِرَ كَلاَمِهِ أَنْ يَقُولَ إِنَّ الله يَأْمُرُ بِالْعَدْلِ وَالإِحْسَانِ وَإِيتَاءِ ذِي الْقُرْبَى وَيَنْهَى عَنِ الْفَحْشَاءِ وَالْمُنْكَرِ وَالْبَغْيِ يَعِظُكُمْ لَعَلَّكُمْ تَذَكَّرُونَ ثُمَّ يَقُولُ اللهمَّ اجْعَلْنَا مِمَّنْ تَذَكَّرَ فَتَنْفَعُهُ الذِّكْرَى ثُمَّ يَنْزِلُ.
6. Muhammad ibn Yahya has narrated from Ahmad ibn Muhammad from al-Husayn ibn Sa‘id from al-Nadr ibn al-Suwayd, from Yahya al-Halabiy from Burayd ibn Mu‘awiyah from Muhammad ibn Muslim who has said the following: “In the first sermon of Friday prayer, abu Ja’far, ‘Alayhi al-Salam, has said to say, ’All praise belongs to Allah. We praise Him, beg assistance from Him, ask Him for forgiveness, seek guidance from Him and seek protection with Him against the evil of our own selves and our own bad deeds. Whomever Allah guides, no one can mislead and whomever Allah causes to go astray, no one is able to guide.’ “I testify that no one, other than Allah, deserves worship. He (Allah) is one, He has no partner, and I testify that Muhammad is His servant and messenger. He chose him to serve as one with His Authority, made him a special person with His message and honored him with prophesy. He (Muhammad) is the trustee with Allah’s unseen matters and is a mercy for all the worlds. O Allah, grant compensation to Muhammad and his family worthy of their services to Your cause. Servants of Allah, I advise you to observe piety before Allah and warn you of His punishment. Allah saves those who observe piety before Him to enjoy happiness. Thus, bad things cannot touch them and they do not feel sadness. Allah honors those who fear Him, protects against things from which they were afraid and allows them to experience affluence and joy. I encourage you to be interested in the grace of Allah, which is forever, I warn you of His punishment, which never ends, and there is no relief thereby for those who are subject to it. Thus, you must not allow worldly matters to deceive you and you should not rely on them; it is a dwelling of deception. Allah has deemed it and its dwellers to face destruction. Thus you must supply yourselves by the things with which Allah has honored you, in the form of observing piety and virtuous deeds; the good deeds of the servant of Allah do not receives acceptance before Allah unless they are pure and Allah does not accept (good deeds) from anyone other than the pious ones. Allah has informed you of the positions of those who believe in Him, do good deeds, and of the positions of the unbelievers of improper deeds saying, “That is the Day (of resurrection) where all people are gathered and that is the day of the presence of everyone. We delay it only for an appointed time. The day it comes not a single soul can speak without His permission. Thus, certain ones of the people are unfortunate and others are fortunate ones. The unfortunate ones are in the fire wherein they wail and cry. Therein they live forever as long as the skies and earth are there, except if your Lord wishes otherwise. Your Lord certainly, does whatever He wants. Those who are fortunate, they are in paradise wherein they live forever as long as the skies and earth are there, unless your Lord wishes otherwise, such as granting unending gifts.” (11:102-108). We pray to Allah who has brought us in this gathering to make our day a blessing and grant mercy to all of us; He has power over all things. The Book of Allah is the most truthful narration and has the best stories. Allah, the Most Majestic, the Most Glorious, has said, “When Quran is recited, listen to it and remain silent so that perhaps you receive mercy.” (7:203) Thereafter recite a chapter from the Holy Quran and pray to your Lord and say, “Allahumma Salli ’Ala Muhammad wa ’Ali Muhammad (O Allah grant Muhammad and his family a compensation worthy of their serving Your cause).” Pray for the believing people, male and female. Then sit down for a short while and then say: “All praise belongs to Allah. We praise Him, beg assistance from Him, and beg of Him to forgive us, seek guidance from Him, believe in Him, trust Him and seek protection with Him against the evil of our own selves and our own bad deeds. Whomever Allah guides, no one can mislead and whomever Allah causes to go astray no one is able to guide.” “I testify that no one, other than Allah, deserves worship. He (Allah) is one, He has no partner, and I testify that Muhammad is His servant and messenger. He sent him with guidance and true religion to make His religion stand supreme over all religions even though the pagans dislike, and He has made him to be a mercy for all the worlds, with glad news and warning that calls people to Allah by His permission and is a shining beacon. Whoever obeys Allah and His Messenger, finds the right guidance and whoever disobeys becomes lost.’ “Servants of Allah I advise you to observe piety before Allah. Those who obey Allah benefit thereby and those who disobey Him suffer losses. Allah is the One in whose presence you will all return. He is the One who will judge you (for your merits). Observing piety is Allah’s advice for you and for those who lived before you. Allah, the Most Majestic, the Most Glorious, has said, “We advised those to whom heavenly book was given before you as well as yourselves to be pious before Allah but if you disbelieve all things in heavens and on earth belongs to Allah, Allah is self-sufficient and praiseworthy.” (4:130). “You must benefit from Allah’s advice and hold fast to His book; it has most eloquent pieces of advice and the best of things in matters of consequences. Allah has established His arguments against people. He gives them the chance not to face destruction without enough opportunity to follow proper guidance, so if they face their own destruction they face it without any excuse and those who follow guidance and live can do so with valid proofs. The Messenger of Allah has already preached the message that he brought (from Allah). You must strictly follow his will and the matters that he has left among you, in the form of two heavy issues, the book of Allah and his family. Whoever follows them (the two issues) will never go astray and those who abandon them (the two issues) will never find any guidance.’ “Allahumma Salli ‘Ala Muhammad (O Allah grant Muhammad, Your servant and messenger, the master of the messengers, the leader of the pious people, the messenger of the Lord of the worlds, and his family a compensation worthy of their serving Your cause.” Then say, “O Allah grant Ali, Amir al- Mu’minin, the executor of the will of the messenger of the Lord of the worlds, a compensation worthy of his serving Your cause.” Then mention all ’A’immah one by one up to the twelfth Imam, ‘Alayhim al-Salam, and then say, “O Allah, please, grant him easy victory and support him with a mighty support. O Lord, make through him Your religion to stand supreme as well as the Sunnah (traditions) of Your prophet, so that nothing of the truth remains hidden for fear of any creature. O Lord, we wish to live under a graceful government in which You grant might to Islam and its followers, humiliate hypocrisy and hypocrite people. In such government, make us to be the preacher to following your laws and leaders to your path. Under such government, grant us the grace of this life as well as the life to come. O Lord, make us to know fully the truth that You have made us to bear and teach us to correct our shortcomings.” “He then should pray to Allah to condemn His enemies and pray for himself and his friends. They then should raise their hands and pray to Allah for all of their wishes until it is complete and then say, “O Lord, answer our prayers.” At the end he should say, “Allah commands to practice justice and do good and to yield to the rights of relatives, and prohibits committing indecency, unlawful matters and to rebel against the truth. I give you good advice so you can be considerate.” Then say, “O Lord, make us to be of those who are reminded and such reminders have benefited them.” Then end the sermon.’”

7ـ عَلِيُّ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ عَنْ أَبِيهِ عَنْ حَمَّادِ بْنِ عِيسَى عَنْ حَرِيزٍ عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ مُسْلِمٍ قَالَ سَأَلْتُهُ عَنِ الْجُمُعَةِ فَقَالَ بِأَذَانٍ وَإِقَامَةٍ يَخْرُجُ الإِمَامُ بَعْدَ الأذَانِ فَيَصْعَدُ الْمِنْبَرَ وَيَخْطُبُ لاَ يُصَلِّي النَّاسُ مَا دَامَ الإِمَامُ عَلَى الْمِنْبَرِ ثُمَّ يَقْعُدُ الإِمَامُ عَلَى الْمِنْبَرِ قَدْرَ مَا يَقْرَأُ قُلْ هُوَ الله أَحَدٌ ثُمَّ يَقُومُ فَيَفْتَتِحُ خُطْبَتَهُ ثُمَّ يَنْزِلُ فَيُصَلِّي بِالنَّاسِ ثُمَّ يَقْرَأُ بِهِمْ فِي الرَّكْعَةِ الأولَى بِالْجُمُعَةِ وَفِي الثَّانِيَةِ بِالْمُنَافِقِينَ.
7. Ali ibn Ibrahim has narrated from his father from Hammad ibn ‘Isa from Hariz from Muhammad ibn Muslim who has said the following: “I once asked him (the Imam), ‘Alayhi al-Salam, about Friday. He (the Imam) said, ‘It has Adhan and ‘Iqamah and the Imam comes out after Adhan, climbs the pulpit and delivers the sermon. People do not perform Salah (prayer) until the Imam is on the pulpit. He then sits on the pulpit for a time, which takes one to read Chapter 112. He then stands up and commences the sermon, then climbs down, then recites with them Surah (chapter) al-Jumu‘ah (62) in the first Rak‘at and Surah (chapter) al- Munafiqun (63) in the second Rak‘at.’”

8ـ مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ يَحْيَى عَنْ أَحْمَدَ بْنِ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ عِيسَى عَنِ الْحُسَيْنِ بْنِ سَعِيدٍ عَنْ فَضَالَةَ بْنِ أَيُّوبَ عَنِ ابْنِ سِنَانٍ عَنْ أَبِي عَبْدِ الله (عَلَيْهِ الْسَّلام) فِي قَوْلِ الله عَزَّ وَجَلَّ خُذُوا زِينَتَكُمْ عِنْدَ كُلِّ مَسْجِدٍ قَالَ فِي الْعِيدَيْنِ وَالْجُمُعَةِ.
8. Muhammad ibn Yahya has narrated from Ahmad ibn Muhammad ibn ‘Isa from al-Husayn ibn Sa‘id from Fadalah ibn Ayyub from ibn Sinan who has said the following: “About the words of Allah, most Majestic, most Glorious, ‘spruce yourselves up near every Masjid,’ (7:29) abu ‘Abd Allah, ‘Alayhi al-Salam, has said, ‘It is a reference to both ‘Id and Friday.’”

9ـ عَلِيُّ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ عَنْ أَبِيهِ عَنِ النَّوْفَلِيِّ عَنِ السَّكُونِيِّ عَنْ أَبِي عَبْدِ الله (عَلَيْهِ الْسَّلام) قَالَ قَالَ رَسُولُ الله (صلّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَآلِه) كُلُّ وَاعِظٍ قِبْلَةٌ يَعْنِي إِذَا خَطَبَ الإِمَامُ النَّاسَ يَوْمَ الْجُمُعَةِ يَنْبَغِي لِلنَّاسِ أَنْ يَسْتَقْبِلُوهُ.
9. Ali ibn Ibrahim has narrated from his father from al-Nawfaliy from al-Sakuniy who has said the following: “Abu ‘Abd Allah, ‘Alayhi al-Salam, has said, ‘The Messenger of Allah has said, “All preachers are al- Qiblah, which means when the Imam delivers the sermon for the people on Friday it is appropriate for people to turn their faces to him.’”” (The following chapter is best explained in the form of fatwa.)
