Muhammad b. Ibrahim narrated to us. He said: `Abd al-`Aziz b. Yahya narrated to us. He said: Al-Husayn b. Mu`adh narrated to me. He said: Sulayman b. Dawud narrated to us. He said: Al-Hakam b. Thahir narrated to us from al-Suddi from Abi Malik. Regarding His saying, “Peace be with the Family of Yasin” (37:130), he said: Yasin is Muhammad ﷺ.

My father narrated to us. He said: `Abdullah b. al-Hasan al-Mu’addab narrated to us from Ahmad b. `Ali al-Isfahani. He said: Muhammad b. Abi `Umar al-Nahdi informed me. He said: My father narrated to me from Muhammad b. Marwan from Muhammad b. al-Sa’ib from Abi Salih from Ibn `Abbas. Regarding His saying, “Peace be with the Family of Yasin” (37:130), he said: With the Family of Muhammad (s).

My father narrated to us. He said: `Abdullah b. al-Hasan al-Mu’addab narrated to us from Ahmad b. `Ali al-Isfahani from Ibrahim b. Muhammad al-Thaqafi. He said: Makhul b. Ibrahim informed us. He said: `Abd al-Jabbar b. al-`Abbas al-Hamadani narrated to us from `Ammar b. Abi Mu`awiya al-Dihni from `Amira bt. Af`a. She said: I heard Umm Salama say: This verse was revealed in my house, “Surely, Allah only wishes to remove uncleanliness from you, O Ahl al-Bayt, and purify you with a thorough purification.” (33:33) She said: There were seven people in the house: The Messenger of Allah, Gabriel, Michael, `Ali, Fatima, al-Hasan, and al-Husayn . She said: I was at the door, so I said: O Messenger of Allah! Am I not from Ahl al-Bayt? He said: You are from the wives of the Prophet. He did not say: You are from Ahl al-Bayt.

By this isnad from Ibrahim b. Muhammad al-Thaqafi. He said: Isma`il b. Aban al-Azdi informed us. He said: `Abdullah b. Khirash al-Shaybani narrated to us from al-`Ulum b. Hushub from al-Taymi. He said: I visited `A’isha, and she narrated to us that she saw the Messenger of Allah (s) praying for `Ali, Fatima, al-Hasan, and al-Husayn . He was saying: O Allah! These are my Ahl al-Bayt, so remove uncleanliness from them and purify them with a thorough purification.

My father narrated to us. He said: Al-Husayn b. Muhammad b. `Amer narrated to us from al-Mu`alla b. Muhammad al-Basri rom Ja`far b. Sulayman from `Abdullah b. al-Hakam from his father from Sa`id b. Jubayr from Ibn `Abbas. He said: The Prophet (s) said: Surely, `Ali is my deputy and my vicegerent. His wife, Fatima, the Mistress of the Women of the Worlds, is my daughter. Al-Hasan and al-Husayn, the two Masters of the Youth of Paradise, are my two sons. Whoever aligns with them has aligned with me, and whoever opposes them has opposed me, and whoever defies them has defied me, and whoever is neglectful of them is neglectful of me, and whoever is good to them is good to me. Allah will connect with whoever connects with them, and He will cut off whoever cuts them off, and He will support whoever aids them, and He will cause failure to whoever fails them. O Allah! Each of Your prophets and Your messengers had a heavyweight and a family. So, `Ali, Fatima, al-Hasan, and al-Husayn are my family and my heavyweight; so, remove all uncleanliness from them, and purify them with a thorough purification.

Muhammad b. Musa b. al-Mutawakkil narrated to us. He said: Muhammad b. Abi `Abdillah al-Kufi narrated to us. He said: Musa b. `Imran al-Nakha`i narrated to us from his uncle al-Husayn b. Yazid al-Nawfali from `Ali b. Salim from his father from Thabit b. Abi Safiyya from Sa`id b Jubayr from Ibn `Abbas. He said: The Messenger of Allah (s) said: Whoever would be gladdened by Allah gathering all goodness for him should align with `Ali after me; and align with his supporters and oppose his enemies.

Ahmad b. al-Hasan al-Qattan narrated to us. He said: Al-`Abbas b. al-Fadl narrated to us. He said: Abu Zar`a narrated to us. He said: `Uthman b. Muhammad b. Abi Shayba al-`Absi narrated to us. He said: `Abdullah b. Numayr narrated to us from al-Harith b. Hasira from Abi Sulayman Zayd b. Wahb from `Abdullah b. `Abbas. He said: The Messenger of Allah (s) said: My wilaya and the wilaya of my Ahl al-Bayt is a safeguard from the Fire.

Ahmad b. Muhammad b. Yahya al-`Attar narrated to us. He said: My father narrated to us from Ja`far b. Muhammad al-Fazari from `Abbad b. Ya`qub from Mansur b. Abi Nuwayra from Abi Bakr b. `Ayash from Abi Qudama al-Fadani. He said: The Messenger of Allah (s) said: Whoever is blessed by Allah with the recognition of my Ahl al-Bayt and their wilaya, Allah will gather all goodness for him.

Muhammad b. Musa b. al-Mutawakkil narrated to us. He said: Muhammad b. Abi `Abdillah al-Kufi narrated to us. He said: Musa b. `Imran al-Nakha`i narrated to us from his uncle al-Husayn b. Yazid al-Nawfali from al-Hasan b. `Ali b. Abi Hamza from Abi Basir. He said: Al-Sadiq Ja`far b. Muhammad said: Whoever establishes the obligations of Allah, abstains from what Allah has prohibited, perfects his wilaya to the Ahl al-Bayt of the Prophet of Allah, and dissociates from the enemies of Allah will enter from whichever of the eight gates of Paradise that he wishes.

Al-Hasan b. `Ali b. Shu`ayb al-Jawhari narrated to us. He said: `Isa b. Muhammad al-`Alawi narrated to us. He said: Al-Husayn b. al-Hasan al-Hayri narrated to us in Kufa. He said: Al-Hasan b. al-Husayn al-`Urni narrated to us from `Amr b. Jami` from `Amr b. Abi’l Miqdam. He said: Al-Sadiq Ja`far b. Muhammad said: These two verses were revealed for the people of our wilaya and our enemies, “Thus, then, if he is of those brought near, then relief and satisfaction” – meaning, in his grave, “and the Paradise of Bliss” (56:88-89) – meaning, in the Hereafter – “and if he is of those who bely the truth and are misguided, then he will be in boiling water” – meaning, in his grave – “burning in Hell” (56:92-94) – meaning, in the Hereafter.

My father and Muhammad b. al-Hasan narrated to us. They said: Sa`d b. `Abdullah narrated to us from Ahmad b. Muhammad b. Khalid. He said: Abu'l Qasim `Abd al-Rahman al-Kufi and Abu Yusuf Ya`qub al-Anbari the scribe narrated to us from Abi Muhammad `Abdullah b. Muhammad al-Ghifari from al-Husayn b. Zayd from al-Sadiq Ja`far b. Muhammad from his father from his forefathers . He said: The Messenger of Allah (s) said: Whoever loves us, the Ahl al-Bayt, should praise Allah for the first of blessings. It was said: What is the first of blessings? He said: A pure birth. None loves us except he whose birth is pure.

Ali b. Ahmad b. `Abdullah al-Barqi narrated to us. He said: My father narratred to us from Ahmad b. Abi `Abdillah from Muhammad b. `Isa b. `Ubayd from Abi Muhammad al-Ansari from another person from Abi Ja`far al-Baqir . He said: Whoever awakes and finds the coolness of our love upon his heart should praise Allah for the beginning of blessing. It was said: What is the beginning of blessing? So, he said: A pure birth.

Al-Husayn b. Ibrahim b. Natana narrated to us. He said: `Ali b. Ibrahim narrated to us from his father Ibrahim b. Hashim from Muhammad b. Abi `Umayr from Abi Ziyad al-Nahdi from `Abdullah b. Salih from Zayd b. `Ali from his father `Ali b. al-Husayn from his father al-Husayn b. `Ali from his father Amir al-Mu'minin `Ali b. Abi Talib . He said: The Messenger of Allah (s) said: O `Ali! Whoever loves me, loves you, and loves the Imams from your descendants should praise Allah for his pure birth, for none will love us except he who is pure of birth, and none will hate us except for he who is impure of birth.

Ahmad b. Muhammad b. Ishaq narrated to us. He said: Isma`il b. Ibrahim al-Hilwani informed me. He said: Ahmad b. Mansur Bazraj narrated to us. He said: Hadiya b. `Abd al-Wahhab narrated to us. He said: Sa`d b. `Abd al-Hamid b. Ja`far narrated to us. He said: `Abdullah b. Ziyad al-Yamami narrated to us from `Ikrama b. `Ammar from Ishaq b. `Abdullah b. Abi Talha from Anas b. Malik. He said: The Messenger of Allah (s) said: We, the Children of `Abd al-Muttalib, are the masters of the people of Paradise: The Messenger of Allah, Hamza the Master of Martyrs, Ja`far the one of two wings, `Ali, Fatima, al-Hasan, al-Husayn, and the Mahdi.

`Ali b. `Abdullah al-Warraq narrated to us. He said: Sa`d b. `Abdullah b. Abi Khalaf al-Ash`ari narrated to us. He said: Al-Haytham b. Abi Masruq al-Nahdi narrated to us from al-Husayn b. `Ilwan from Amr b. Khalid from Sad b. Turayf from Al-Asbagh b. Nubata. He said: Amir al-Mu'minin said: I heard the Messenger of Allah (s) say: I am the master of the Children of Adam, and you, `Ali, and the Imams from your descendants, are the masters of my Nation. Whoever loves us has loved Allah, and whoever hates us has hated Allah, and whoever aligns with us has aligned with Allah, and whoever opposes us has opposed Allah, and whoever obeys us has obeyed Allah, and whoever disobeys us has disobeyed Allah.

My father narrated to us. He said: `Abdullah b. Ja`far al-Himyari narrated to us from Ahmad b. Muhammad b. `Isa from his father from Yunus b. `Abd al-Rahman from Mansur al-Sayqal from al-Sadiq Ja`far b. Muhammad from his forefathers . He said: The Messenger of Allah (s) said: When I was taken up to heaven, my Lord implored me with three phrases. He said: “O Muhammad!” So, I said: “I am at Your service, my Lord.” So, He said: “Surely, `Ali is the Imam of the Godfearing, the Leader of the Shining Believers, and the Chief of the Believers.”

Ahmad b. Ziyad b. Ja`far al-Hamadani narrated to us. He said: `Ali b. Ibrahim b. Hashim narrated to us from Ja`far b. Salama al-Ahwazi from Ibrahim b. Muhammad al-Thaqafi. He said: Ahmad b. `Imran b. Muhammad b. Abi Layla al-Ansari narrated to us. He said: Al-Husayn b. `Abdullah narrated to us from Khalid b. `Isa al-Ansari from `Abd al-Rahman b. Abi Layla, who raises it. He said: The Messenger of Allah (s) said: There are three saints (siddiqun): (1) Habib al-Najjar, the believer of Al Yasin, who says, “Follow the messengers, follow those who are guided and do not ask you for reward” (36:20-21). (2) Hizqil, the believer of the Family of Pharaoh. (3) `Ali b. Abi Talib, and he is the best of them.

By this isnad from Ibrahim b. Muhammad al-Thaqafi. He said: Muhammad b. `Ali informed me. He said: Al-`Abbas b. `Abdullah narrated to us from `Abd al-Rahman b. Al-Aswad from `Abd al-Rahman b. Mas`ud from `Ali . He said: The Messenger of Allah (s) said: The most beloved of my Ahl al-Bayt to me and the best [person] I leave behind is `Ali b. Abi Talib.

By this isnad from Ibrahim b. Muhammad al-Thaqafi. He said: Al-Hakam b. Sulayman narrated to us. He said: `Ali b. Hashim narrated to us from `Amr b. Harith al-Ashja`i from Bardha`a b. `Abd al-Rahman from Abi'l Khalil from Salman . He said: I visited the Messenger of Allah (s) when he was dying, and he said: `Ali b. Abi Talib is the best [person] I leave behind.

My father narrated to us. He said: `Abdullah b. al-Hasan al-Mu'addab narrated to us from Ahmad b. `Ali al-Isfahani from Ibrahim b. Muhammad al-Thaqafi. He said: `Abd al-Rahman b. Abi Hashim narrated to us. He said: Yahya b. al-Husayn narrated to us from Sa`d b. Turayf from al-Asbagh b. Nubata from Salman al-Farisi . He said: I heard the Messenger of Allah (s) say: O Muhajirin and Ansar! Shall I not guide you to that by which, if you held onto it, you would never go astray after me? They said: Of course, O Messenger of Allah. He said: This `Ali is my brother, my deputy, my vizier, my inheritor, my vicegerent (khalifa), and your Imam. So, greet him as you greet me and honour him as you honour me, for Gabriel commanded me to say this to you.

Muhammad b. al-Hasan b. Ahmad b. al-Walid narrated to us. He said: Ahmad b. `Alawiyya narrated to us from Ibrahim b. Muhammad. He said: Al-Mas`udi narrated to us. He said: Ali b. al-Qasim al-Kindi narrated to us from Sa`d b. Talib from `Uthman b. al-Qasim al-Ansari from Zayd b. Arqam. He said: The Messenger of Allah (s) said: Shall I not guide you to that by which, if you follow it, you will not be destroyed or misguided? They said: Of course, O Messenger of Allah. He said: Surely, your Imam and your wali is `Ali b. Abi Talib. So, consult him, refer to him, and believe in him, for Gabriel commanded me of this.

Muhammad b. `Umar al-Hafith al-Baghdadi narrated to us in the City of Peace (Baghdad). He said: Muhammad b. al-Qasim b. Zakariyya Abu `Abdillah and al-Husayn b. `Ali al-Sukuni narrated to us. They said: Muhammad b. al-Hasan al-Sukuni narrated to us. He said: Salih b. Abi'l Aswad narrated to us from Abi'l Mathar al-Mudhari from Salam al-Ju`fi from Abi Ja`far al-Baqir from Abi Burza from the Prophet (s). He said: Surely, Allah made a covenant to me regarding `Ali. I said: “O Lord! Reveal it to me.” He said: “Listen.” I said: “I am listening.” He said: “Surely, `Ali is the Banner of Guidance, the Imam of My friends, the light of those who obey Me, and the word that the Godfearing stick to. Whoever loves him has loved Me, and whoever obeys him has obeyed Me.”

Muhammad b. al-Hasan b. Ahmad b. al-Walid narrated to us. He said: Muhammad b. al-Hasan al-Saffar narrated to us from Ahmad b. Muhammad b. Isa from Muhammad b. Sinan from Abi Malik al-Hadrami from Ismail b. Jabir from Abi Ja`far al-Baqir . He said in a long hadith: Surely, when Allah made His Prophet (s) ascend, He said to him: O Muhammad! Your prophethood has been completed and you have been cut away from food, so who will be for your Nation after you? So, I said: O Lord! I have tested Your creation, and I did not find anyone who loved me more intensely than `Ali b. Abi Talib. So, He said: Me too, O Muhammad, so inform him that he is the Banner of Guidance, the Imam of My friends, and a light for whoever obeys Me.

Muhammad b. `Umar al-Hafith narrated to me in the City of Peace (Baghdad). He said: Muhammad b. `Amr b. Rafi` al-Bahili narrated to us. He said: Abu Ghassan al-Mas`ami narrated to us. He said: `Abd al-Malik b. al-Sabah narrated to us. He said: `Imran b. Jarir narrated to us from al-Hasan. He said: `Umar said: Surely, I have never seen anyone more fitting to lead the people to the Book of Allah and the Sunna of His Prophet than him – meaning, `Ali b. Abi Talib .

Muhammad b. `Umar narrated to us. He said: Muhammad b. al-Husayn narrated to us. He said: Ahmad b. Ghanam b. Hakim narrated to us. He said: Shurayh b. Maslama narrated to us. He said: Ibrahim b. Yusuf narrated to us from `Abd al-Jabbar from al-A`mash al-Thaqafi from Abi’l Sadiq. He said: `Ali said to me: This verse is for us or about us, “We wanted to confer favour upon those who were oppressed in the land and make them Imams and make them the inheritors.” (28:5)

Muhammad b. `Ali Majiluwayh narrated to us. He said: Muhammad b. Yahya al-`Attar narrated to us. He said: Ja`far b Muhammad al-Kufi narrated to us. He said: Muhammad b. al-Husayn b. Zayd narrated to us from `Abdullah b. al-Fadl from al-Sadiq Ja`far b. Muhammad from his father from his forefathers . He said: The Messenger of Allah (s) said: On the night that Allah made me ascend to heaven, my Lord said to me: “O Muhammad!” So, I said: “I am at Your service, my Lord.” So, he said: “Surely, `Ali is My Proof over My creation after you. He is the Imam of the people of My obedience. Whoever obeys him has obeyed Me, and whoever disobeys him has disobeyed Me. Establish him as a sign for your Nation so that they may be guided after you.”
