 أَبِی ره قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا عَلِیُّ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِیمَ عَنْ أَبِیهِ عَنْ عَلِیِّ بْنِ مَعْبَدٍ عَنْ وَاصِلِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ سِنَانٍ عَنْ أَبِی عَبْدِ اللَّهِ ع قَالَ: قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ص ذَاتَ یَوْمٍ لِأَمِیرِ الْمُؤْمِنِینَ ع أَ لَا أُبَشِّرُکَ قَالَ بَلَی بِأَبِی أَنْتَ وَ أُمِّی فَإِنَّکَ لَمْ تَزَلْ مُبَشِّراً بِکُلِّ خَیْرٍ فَقَالَ أَخْبَرَنِی جَبْرَائِیلُ آنِفاً بِالْعَجَبِ فَقَالَ أَمِیرُ الْمُؤْمِنِینَ ع وَ مَا الَّذِی أَخْبَرَکَ یَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ص قَالَ أَخْبَرَنِی أَنَّ الرَّجُلَ مِنْ أُمَّتِی إِذَا صَلَّی عَلَیَّ وَ أَتْبَعَ بِالصَّلَاهِ عَلَیَّ أَهْلَ بَیْتِی فُتِّحَتْ لَهُ أَبْوَابُ السَّمَاءِ وَ صَلَّتْ عَلَیْهِ الْمَلَائِکَهُ سَبْعِینَ صَلَاهً وَ أَنَّهُ لِلذَّنْبِ حَطّاً ثُمَّ تَحَاتَّتْ عَنْهُ الذُّنُوبُ کَمَا تَحَاتَّتِ الْوَرَقُ مِنَ الشَّجَرِ وَ یَقُولُ اللَّهُ تَبَارَکَ وَ تَعَالَی لَبَّیْکَ عَبْدِی وَ سَعْدَیْکَ یَا مَلَائِکَتِی أَنْتُمْ تُصَلُّونَ عَلَیْهِ سَبْعِینَ صَلَاهً وَ أَنَا أُصَلِّی عَلَیْهِ سَبْعَمِائَهِ صَلَاهٍ فَإِذَا صَلَّی عَلَیَّ وَ لَمْ یُتْبِعْ بِالصَّلَاهِ عَلَیَّ أَهْلَ بَیْتِی کَانَ بَیْنَهَا وَ بَیْنَ السَّمَاءِ سَبْعُونَ حِجَاباً وَ یَقُولُ اللَّهُ جَلَّ جَلَالُهُ لَا لَبَّیْکَ وَ لَا سَعْدَیْکَ یَا مَلَائِکَتِی لَا تُصْعِدُوا دُعَاءَهُ إِلَّا أَنْ یُلْحِقَ بِالنَّبِیِّ عِتْرَتَهُ فَلَا یَزَالُ مَحْجُوباً حَتَّی یُلْحِقَ بِی أَهْلَ بَیْتِی.

1. My father (rah) said: it was narrated to us by Ali b. Ibrahim from his father from Ali b. Ma’bad from Wasil b. Abdillah from Abdillah b. Sinan from Abi Abdillah (a.s.) who said: ‘O My servant! Your supplications are accepted and you are fortunate. O angels! Recite seventy salutations on him and I will recite seven hundred salutations on him’.” The Holy Prophet (s.a.w.s.) went on to say, “One who recites salutation on me but does not do so on my progeny there are seventy veils between that salutation and heaven. The Almighty Allah tells him, ‘There is no reply or fortune for you. O angels do not bring his supplication to Me if he does not supplement his salutation on the Holy Prophet (s.a.w.s.) with the salutation on his holy progeny’. If one does not join the salutation on my Ahle Bayt along with mine his prayers will remain in the veil (unanswered) forever.”
