Thawāb al-Aʿmāl wa ʿiqāb al-Aʿmāl


Book 2, Chapter 32

Reward when the parts of body concerned with ablution are wiped and when they are not
1 Ḥadīth

أَبِی ره قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا سَعْدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ عَنْ سَلَمَهَ بْنِ الْخَطَّابِ عَنْ إِبْرَاهِیمَ بْنِ مُحَمَّدٍ الثَّقَفِیِّ عَنْ عَلِیِّ بْنِ یَعْلَی عَنْ إِبْرَاهِیمَ بْنِ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ حُمْرَانَ عَنْ أَبِیهِ عَنْ أَبِی عَبْدِ اللَّهِ ع قَالَ: مَنْ تَوَضَّأَ وَ تَمَنْدَلَ کُتِبَتْ لَهُ حَسَنَهٌ وَ مَنْ تَوَضَّأَ وَ لَمْ یَتَمَنْدَلْ حَتَّی تَجِفَّ وَضُوؤُهُ کُتِبَتْ لَهُ ثَلَاثُونَ حَسَنَهً.


1. My father (r.h) said: it was narrated to us by Sa’d b. Abdillah from Salamah b. al-Khattab from Ibrahim b. Muhammad al-Thaqafi from Ali b. Ya’la from Ibrahim b. Muhammad b. Hamran from his father from Abi Abdillah (a.s) who said: “A person who wipes the parts of body after ablution will get a single reward and the person who does not wipe will get thirty rewards.”
