Book 2, Chapter 185

Reward of reciting Surah Maryam
1 Ḥadīth

بِهَذَا الْإِسْنَادِ عَنِ الْحَسَنِ عَنْ عُمَرَ عَنْ أَبَانٍ عَنْ أَبِی عَبْدِ اللَّهِ ع قَالَ: مَنْ أَدْمَنَ قِرَاءَهَ سُورَهِ مَرْیَمَ لَمْ یَمُتْ حَتَّی یُصِیبَ مَا یُغْنِیهِ فِی نَفْسِهِ وَ مَالِهِ وَ وُلْدِهِ وَ کَانَ فِی الْآخِرَهِ مِنْ أَصْحَابِ عِیسَی ابْنِ مَرْیَمَ ع وَ أُعْطِیَ فِی الْآخِرَهِ مِثْلَ مُلْکِ سُلَیْمَانَ بْنِ دَاوُدَ ع فِی الدُّنْیَا.


1. From the previous chain from al-Hassan from Umar from Aban from Abi Abdillah (a.s) who said: One who recites Surah Maryam regularly will not die till he is given that which makes him needless in himself, wealth and children; and in the hereafter he would be of the companions of Isa (a.s) and in the hereafter he would be given a like of the worldly kingdom of Sulaiman bin Dawood (a.s).
