Thawāb al-Aʿmāl wa ʿiqāb al-Aʿmāl


Book 2, Chapter 167

Reward of reciting a hundred verses of the Holy Quran and saying Yaa Allaah seven times
1 Ḥadīth

حَدَّثَنِی مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَلِیِّ بْنِ مَاجِیلَوَیْهِ عَنْ عَمِّهِ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ أَبِی الْقَاسِمِ عَنْ أَحْمَدَ بْنِ أَبِی عَبْدِ اللَّهِ عَنْ عَلِیِّ بْنِ أَسْبَاطٍ یَرْفَعُهُ إِلَی أَمِیرِ الْمُؤْمِنِینَ ع قَالَ: مَنْ قَرَأَ مِائَهَ آیَهٍ مِنَ الْقُرْآنِ مِنْ أَیِّ الْقُرْآنِ شَاءَ ثُمَّ قَالَ یَا اللَّهُ سَبْعَ مَرَّاتٍ فَلَوْ دَعَا عَلَی الصَّخْرَهِ لَقَلَعَهَا إِنْ شَاءَ اللَّهُ.


1. It was narrated to me by Muhammad b. Ali b. Majluwayh from his uncle Muhammad b. Abi al-Qasim from Ahmad b. Abi Abdillah from Ali b. Asbat who raised it to Ameer al-Mumineen (a.s) who said: “One who says Yaa Allaah seven times after reciting a hundred verses of the Holy Quran from anywhere, even if he prays against Sakhr (a stone) it would be dislodged from its place.”
