What was predominant with him was the knowledge of biography, literature, and poetry, and he has books: the book of the delegations upon the Prophet صلى الله عليه وآله , the book of the reports of Abū Muḥammad, Sufyān b. Muṣʿab al-ʿAbdī and his poetry, the book of the report of Ibn Abī ʿUqb and his poetry. Abū al-Ḥasan Asad b. Ibrāhīm b. Kulayb al-Sullami and Muḥammad b. ʿUthmān reported to us, they said: Abū Bakr Muḥammad b. al-Ḥusayn b. Ṣāliḥ al-Sabīʿī narrated to us at Aleppo, he said: al-Mundhir b. Muḥammad b. al-Mundhir narrated to us, he said: al-Husan b. Muḥammad b. ʿAlī al-Azdī narrated his books to us.
