41 - وبالإسناد الأول عن علي بن مهزيار، عن عاصم ، عن فضيل الرسان، عن يحيى بن عقيل قال: قال علي عليه السلام: إنما أخاف عليكم اثنتين: اتباع الهوى، وطول الأمل، فأما اتباع الهوى فيصد عن الحق، وأما طول الأمل فينسي الآخرة. ارتجلت الآخرة مقبلة، وارتحلت الدنيا مدبرة، ولكل بنون، فكونوا من بني الآخرة، ولا تكونوا من بني الدنيا ، اليوم عمل ولا حساب، وغدا حساب ولا عمل . 

41. And with the foregoing chains of narration from ‘Ali ibn Mahzyar, from Asim, from Fudhail al-Rassan, from Yahya ibn Aqeel, who reported that: ‘Ali, peace be upon him, said: "I fear for you two things: following the desire of soul and being deluded by long hope. As for following the base desire, it keeps you away from truth, and as for the long hope, it causes you to forget the hereafter. The next world moves to encounter you, while this world moves to turn its back! And each has its own children. So be the children of the next world and do not be among the children of this world. Today, there are deeds and no account, but tomorrow there will be account and no deeds."
