لَقَدْ
كَانَ
فِي
قَصَصِهِمْ
عِبْرَةٌ
لِّأُولِي
الْأَلْبَابِ
مَا
كَانَ
حَدِيثًا
يُفْتَرَى
وَلَكِن
تَصْدِيقَ
الَّذِي
بَيْنَ
يَدَيْهِ
وَتَفْصِيلَ
كُلِّ
شَيْءٍ
وَهُدًى
وَرَحْمَةً
لِّقَوْمٍ
يُؤْمِنُونَ
la-qad kāna fī qaṣaṣihim ʿibratun li-ʾulī l-ʾalbābi mā kāna ḥadīthan yuftarā wa-lākin taṣdīqa lladhī bayna yadayhi wa-tafṣīla kulli shayʾin wa-hudan wa-raḥmatan li-qawmin yuʾminūna
In their story, there is a lesson for the people of understanding. It is not a legend but a confirmation of what exists (in the Torah). It (the Quran) has details about everything. It is a guide and mercy for those who have faith.
