4. Certain persons of our people have narrated from Ali ibn al-Husayn from al-‘Abbas ibn ‘Amir ‘Abd Allah ibn Bukayr who has said the following: “Abu ‘Abd Allah , has said, ‘The Messenger of Allah, O Allah, grant compensation to Muhammad and his family worthy of their services to Your cause, arranged the marriage of Fatimah and Ali, ‘Alayhim al-Salam, for a mahr (dower) from one shield made by Hatmiyah (a certain people) valued at thirty dirham.’”
