5915 - وَ رَوَى لَنَا عَبْدُ اَلْوَاحِدِ بْنُ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ عُبْدُوسٍ اَلنَّيْسَابُورِيُّ رَضِيَ اَللَّهُ عَنْهُ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا عَلِيُّ بْنُ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ قُتَيْبَةَ عَنِ اَلْفَضْلِ بْنِ شَاذَانَ قَالَ سَمِعْتُ اَلرِّضَا عَلَيْهِ اَلسَّلاَمُ يَقُولُ : "لَمَّا حُمِلَ رَأْسُ اَلْحُسَيْنِ عَلَيْهِ اَلسَّلاَمُ إِلَى اَلشَّامِ أَمَرَ يَزِيدُ لَعَنَهُ اَللَّهُ فَوُضِعَ وَ نُصِبَ عَلَيْهِ مَائِدَةٌ فَأَقْبَلَ هُوَ وَ أَصْحَابُهُ يَأْكُلُونَ وَ يَشْرَبُونَ اَلْفُقَّاعَ فَلَمَّا فَرَغُوا أَمَرَ بِالرَّأْسِ فَوُضِعَ فِي طَسْتٍ تَحْتَ سَرِيرَةٍ وَ بُسِطَ عَلَيْهِ رُقْعَةُ اَلشِّطْرَنْجِ وَ جَلَسَ يَزِيدُ لَعَنَهُ اَللَّهُ يَلْعَبُ بِالشِّطْرَنْجِ وَ يَذْكُرُ اَلْحُسَيْنَ بْنَ عَلِيٍّ وَ أَبَاهُ وَ جَدَّهُ عَلَيْهِمُ اَلسَّلاَمُ وَ يَسْتَهْزِئُ بِذِكْرِهِمْ فَمَتَى قَامَرَ صَاحِبَهُ تَنَاوَلَ اَلْفُقَّاعَ فَشَرِبَهُ ثَلاَثَ مَرَّاتٍ ثُمَّ صَبَّ فَضْلَتَهُ عَلَى مَا يَلِي اَلطَّسْتَ مِنَ اَلْأَرْضِ فَمَنْ كَانَ مِنْ شِيعَتِنَا فَلْيَتَوَرَّعْ عَنْ شُرْبِ اَلْفُقَّاعِ وَ اَللَّعِبِ بِالشِّطْرَنْجِ وَ مَنْ نَظَرَ إِلَى اَلْفُقَّاعِ أَوْ إِلَى اَلشِّطْرَنْجِ فَلْيَذْكُرِ اَلْحُسَيْنَ عَلَيْهِ اَلسَّلاَمُ وَ لْيَلْعَنْ يَزِيدَ وَ آلَ زِيَادٍ يَمْحُو اَللَّهُ عَزَّ وَ جَلَّ بِذَلِكَ ذُنُوبَهُ وَ لَوْ كَانَتْ بِعَدَدِ اَلنُّجُومِ".
Hadith.5915 - And it was narrated to us by Abdul-Wahid ibn Muhammad ibn Abdus Al-Naysaburi, may Allah (swt) be pleased with him, who said: Ali ibn Muhammad ibn Qutaybah narrated to us from Al-Fadl ibn Shadhan, who said:
I heard Imam Ali ibn Musa Ar-Ridha 
, say:
"'When the head of Imam Hussain ibn Ali , peace be upon him, was taken to Sham, Yazid - may Allah (swt) curse him - ordered that it be placed and a table was set upon it.
He (Yazid) and his companions came forward, eating and drinking fermented beverages. When they finished, he ordered the head to be placed in a basin under his couch, and a chessboard was spread over it.
Then Yazid - may Allah (swt) curse him - sat playing chess while mentioning Imam Hussain ibn Ali and his father and grandfather ﷺ, peace be upon them, mocking their remembrance. Whenever he gambled with his companion, he would take the fermented beverage and drink it three times, then pour the remainder onto the ground near the basin.'
Imam continued: 'Whoever is from our Shia should abstain from drinking fermented beverages and playing chess.
And whoever looks at fermented beverages or at chess should remember Imam Hussain ibn Ali , and curse Yazid and the family of Ziyad. By doing so, Allah (swt), the Mighty and Majestic, will erase his sins, even if they are as numerous as the stars.
