Hadith #5868

5868 - وَ رَوَى صَفْوَانُ بْنُ يَحْيَى عَنْ أَبِي اَلصَّبَّاحِ اَلْكِنَانِيِّ قَالَ : قُلْتُ لِلصَّادِقِ جَعْفَرِ بْنِ مُحَمَّدٍ عَلَيْهِ اَلسَّلاَمُ أَخْبِرْنِي عَنْ هَذَا اَلْقَوْلِ قَوْلُ مَنْ هُوَ "أَسْأَلُ اَللَّهَ اَلْإِيمَانَ وَ اَلتَّقْوَى وَ أَعُوذُ بِاللَّهِ مِنْ شَرِّ عَاقِبَةِ اَلْأُمُورِ إِنَّ أَشْرَفَ اَلْحَدِيثِ ذِكْرُ اَللَّهِ تَعَالَى وَ رَأْسَ اَلْحِكْمَةِ طَاعَتُهُ وَ أَصْدَقَ اَلْقَوْلِ وَ أَبْلَغَ اَلْمَوْعِظَةِ وَ أَحْسَنَ اَلْقَصَصِ كِتَابُ اَللَّهِ وَ أَوْثَقَ اَلْعُرَى اَلْإِيمَانُ بِاللَّهِ وَ خَيْرَ اَلْمِلَلِ مِلَّةُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ عَلَيْهِ اَلسَّلاَمُ وَ أَحْسَنَ اَلسُّنَنِ سُنَّةُ اَلْأَنْبِيَاءِ وَ أَحْسَنَ اَلْهَدْيِ هَدْيُ مُحَمَّدٍ وَ خَيْرَ "اَلزّٰادِ اَلتَّقْوىٰ" وَ خَيْرَ اَلْعِلْمِ مَا نَفَعَ وَ خَيْرَ اَلْهُدَى مَا اُتُّبِعَ وَ خَيْرَ اَلْغِنَى غِنَى اَلنَّفْسِ وَ خَيْرَ مَا أُلْقِيَ فِي اَلْقَلْبِ اَلْيَقِينُ وَ زِينَةَ اَلْحَدِيثِ اَلصِّدْقُ وَ زِينَةَ اَلْعِلْمِ اَلْإِحْسَانُ وَ أَشْرَفَ اَلْمَوْتِ قَتْلُ اَلشَّهَادَةِ وَ خَيْرَ اَلْأُمُورِ خَيْرُهَا عَاقِبَةً وَ مَا قَلَّ وَ كَفَى خَيْرٌ مِمَّا كَثُرَ وَ أَلْهَى وَ اَلشَّقِيَّ مَنْ شَقِيَ فِي بَطْنِ أُمِّهِ وَ اَلسَّعِيدَ مَنْ وُعِظَ بِغَيْرِهِ وَ أَكْيَسَ اَلْكَيْسِ اَلتُّقَى وَ أَحْمَقَ اَلْحُمْقِ اَلْفُجُورُ وَ شَرَّ اَلرَّوَايَا رَوَايَا اَلْكَذِبِ وَ شَرَّ اَلْأُمُورِ مُحْدَثَاتُهَا وَ شَرَّ اَلْعَمَى عَمَى اَلْقَلْبِ وَ شَرَّ اَلنَّدَامَةِ نَدَامَةُ يَوْمِ اَلْقِيَامَةِ وَ أَعْظَمَ اَلْمُخْطِئِينَ عِنْدَ اَللَّهِ عَزَّ وَ جَلَّ لِسَانُ اَلْكَذَّابِ وَ شَرَّ اَلْكَسْبِ كَسْبُ اَلرِّبَا وَ شَرَّ اَلْمَآكِلِ أَكْلُ مَالِ اَلْيَتِيمِ ظُلْماً وَ أَحْسَنَ زِينَةِ اَلرَّجُلِ اَلسَّكِينَةُ مَعَ اَلْإِيمَانِ وَ مَنْ تَتَبَّعَ اَلْمَشْمَعَةَ يُشَمِّعُ اَللَّهُ بِهِ وَ مَنْ يَعْرِفِ اَلْبَلاَءَ يَصْبِرْ عَلَيْهِ وَ مَنْ لاَ يَعْرِفْهُ يُنْكِرْهُ وَ اَلرَّيْبُ كُفْرٌ وَ مَنْ يَسْتَكْبِرْ يَضَعْهُ اَللَّهُ وَ مَنْ يُطِعِ اَلشَّيْطَانَ يَعْصِ اَللَّهَ وَ مَنْ يَعْصِ اَللَّهَ يُعَذِّبْهُ اَللَّهُ وَ مَنْ يَشْكُرْهُ يَزِدْهُ اَللَّهُ وَ مَنْ يَصْبِرْ عَلَى اَلرَّزِيَّةِ يُغِثْهُ اَللَّهُ وَ مَنْ يَتَوَكَّلْ عَلَى اَللَّهِ فَحَسْبُهُ اَللَّهُ وَ مَنْ يَتَوَكَّلْ عَلَى اَللَّهِ يُؤْجِرْهُ اَللَّهُ لاَ تُسْخِطُوا اَللَّهَ بِرِضَا أَحَدٍ مِنْ خَلْقِهِ وَ لاَ تَتَقَرَّبُوا إِلَى أَحَدٍ مِنَ اَلْخَلْقِ بِتَبَاعُدٍ مِنَ اَللَّهِ فَإِنَّ اَللَّهَ عَزَّ وَ جَلَّ لَيْسَ بَيْنَهُ وَ بَيْنَ أَحَدٍ مِنَ اَلْخَلْقِ شَيْءٌ فَيُعْطِيَهُ بِهِ خَيْراً أَوْ يَصْرِفَ بِهِ عَنْهُ سُوءاً إِلاَّ بِطَاعَتِهِ وَ اِبْتِغَاءِ مَرْضَاتِهِ إِنَّ طَاعَةَ اَللَّهِ تَبَارَكَ وَ تَعَالَى نَجَاحُ كُلِّ خَيْرٍ يُبْتَغَى وَ نَجَاةٌ مِنْ كُلِّ شَرٍّ يُتَّقَى وَ إِنَّ اَللَّهَ عَزَّ وَ جَلَّ يَعْصِمُ مَنْ أَطَاعَهُ وَ لاَ يَعْتَصِمُ مِنْهُ مَنْ عَصَاهُ وَ لاَ يَجِدُ اَلْهَارِبُ مِنَ اَللَّهِ مَهْرَباً فَإِنَّ أَمْرَ اَللَّهِ تَعَالَى ذِكْرُهُ نَازِلٌ بِإِذْلاَلِهِ وَ لَوْ كَرِهَ اَلْخَلاَئِقُ وَ كُلُّ مَا هُوَ آتٍ قَرِيبٌ مَا شَاءَ اَللَّهُ كَانَ وَ مَا لَمْ يَشَأْ لَمْ يَكُنْ "تَعٰاوَنُوا عَلَى اَلْبِرِّ وَ اَلتَّقْوىٰ وَ لاٰ تَعٰاوَنُوا عَلَى اَلْإِثْمِ وَ اَلْعُدْوٰانِ وَ اِتَّقُوا اَللّٰهَ إِنَّ اَللّٰهَ شَدِيدُ اَلْعِقٰابِ" " فَقَالَ اَلصَّادِقُ جَعْفَرُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ عَلَيْهِ اَلسَّلاَمُ "هَذَا قَوْلُ رَسُولِ اَللَّهِ صَلَّى اَللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَ آلِهِ ".

Hadith.5868 - Safwan ibn Yahya narrated from Abu Al-Sabbah Al-Kinani, who said: I asked Abu Abdullah Imam Jafar ibn Muhammad Al-Sadiq : "Inform me about this statement, whose words are: 'I ask Allah for faith and piety, and I seek refuge in Allah from the evil consequences of matters. Indeed, the most honorable speech is the remembrance of Allah , the Exalted, and the pinnacle of wisdom is obedience to Him. The most truthful speech, the most eloquent admonition, and the best of stories are found in the Book of Allah . The firmest bond is faith in Allah . The best of religions is the religion of Ibrahim, peace be upon him. The best of traditions is the tradition of the prophets. The best of guidance is the guidance of Muhammad . The best provision is piety. The best knowledge is that which benefits. The best guidance is that which is followed. The best wealth is the wealth of the soul. The best thing placed in the heart is certainty. The adornment of speech is truthfulness. The adornment of knowledge is benevolence. The most honorable death is martyrdom. The best of matters are those with favorable outcomes. That which is little and sufficient is better than that which is abundant and distracting. The truly unfortunate is the one who is doomed while still in his mother's womb. The truly fortunate is the one who takes heed from others. The wisest of the wise is the one who fears Allah . The most foolish of the foolish is the one who engages in wickedness. The worst of narrations is falsehood. The worst of matters are their innovations. The worst blindness is the blindness of the heart. The worst regret is regret on the Day of Judgment. The greatest sinner in the sight of Allah , the Exalted, is the lying tongue. The worst earnings are those acquired through usury. The worst food is that which is acquired through unlawfully consuming the orphan's wealth. The best adornment of a man is calmness with faith. Whoever pursues scandal, Allah will expose him. Whoever accepts trials will endure them, and whoever does not recognize them will reject them. Doubt is disbelief. Whoever is arrogant, Allah will humble him. Whoever obeys Satan disobeys Allah . Whoever disobeys Allah , Allah will punish him. Whoever gives thanks to Allah , He will increase him. Whoever is patient in adversity, Allah will relieve him. Whoever relies on Allah , He will suffice him. Whoever entrusts himself to Allah , He will reward him. Do not incur Allah's wrath by seeking the approval of His creation. Do not seek nearness to creation by distancing yourself from Allah . Indeed, there is nothing between Allah , the Exalted, and His creation that can grant them goodness or protect them from harm except obedience to Him and seeking His pleasure. The obedience of Allah , the Blessed and Exalted, is the key to every good that is sought and the means to salvation from every evil that is feared. Indeed, Allah , the Exalted, safeguards those who obey Him, but those who disobey Him will find no protection from Him. No one can escape from Allah , for His command is inevitable, even if creation dislikes it. Everything that is coming is near, and whatever Allah wills will be, and whatever He does not will shall never be. Cooperate in righteousness and piety, and do not cooperate in sin and transgression. Fear Allah ; indeed, Allah is severe in punishment.'" Imam Jafar ibn Muhammad Al-Sadiq said: "This is the statement of Messenger of Allah , blessings be upon him and his family."
