By this isnad from Bakr b. `Abdullah b. Habib. He said: Tamim b. Bahlul narrated to us from Isma`il b. Aban from Salam b. Abi `Amra from Ma`ruf b. Kharbudh from Abi’l Tufayl from al-Hasan b. `Ali b. Abi Talib . He said:

I heard the Messenger of Allah (s) say: I am the Master of the Prophets, and `Ali b. Abi Talib is the Master of the Deputies, and al-Hasan and al-Husayn are the Masters of the Youth of the People of Paradise, and the Imams after them are the Masters of the Godfearing. Our friends are the friends of Allah, and our enemies are the enemies of Allah. Obedience to us is obedience to Allah, and disobedience of us is disobedience of Allah.
