Al-Husayn b. Ahmad b. Idris narrated to us. He said: My father narrated to us from Muhammad b. Ahmad b. Yahya b. `Imran al-Ash`ari from Ibrahim b. Hashim from `Amr b. `Uthman from Muhammad b. `Adhafir from Abi Hamza from `Ali b. al-Hazur from al-Qasim from Abi Sa`id al-Khudri. He said:

Fatima went to the Prophet (s) and she mentioned weakness in her condition. So, he said to her: Do you not see what `Ali's rank is to me? He was sufficient for me [as a follower] when he was only twelve years old. He fought in front of me with the sword when he was only sixteen years old. He fought champions when he was only nineteen years old. He relieved me of my worries when he was twenty years old. He lifted the gate of Khaybar when he was twenty-two years old, even though fifty men could not lift it. So, the colour of Fatima brightened, and she did not move until she met `Ali , and she informed him [about what was said]. So, `Ali said: How would it be if he informed you of all that Allah has bestowed upon me!
