1. My father, my brother and all of my scholars narrated to me from Muḥammad ibn Yaḥyā, from Muḥammad ibn ‘Ali Al-Madā`ini, from Muḥammad ibn Sa’īd Al-Bajali, from Qabīsah, from Jābir Al-Ju’fi, who said: I went to Ja’far ibn Muḥammad (Imam Sādiq ) on the Day of ‘Āshūrā and he said to me (as part of a longer Ḥadīth): These – referring to the Zuwwār of Ḥusain
– are the Zuwwār of Allāh and it is an obligation on the host to honour the Zā`ir. Those who spend the night of ‘Āshūrā next to the grave of Ḥusain
will meet Allāh on the Day of Judgment stained with their blood as if they were killed with him on his desert (Karbalā). Those who go to the Ziyārah of the grave of Ḥusain
on the Day of ‘Āshūrā and spend the night next to his grave are like those who were martyred in front of Ḥusain
