حَدَّثَنِی الْحَسَنُ بْنُ أَحْمَدَ عَنْ أَبِیهِ عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ أَحْمَدَ بْنِ إِبْرَاهِیمَ بْنِ هَاشِمٍ عَنْ مُوسَی بْنِ أَبِی الْحَسَنِ عَنِ الرِّضَا ع قَالَ: ظَهَرَ فِی بَنِی إِسْرَائِیلَ قَحْطٌ شَدِیدٌ سِنِینَ مُتَوَاتِرَهً وَ کَانَ عِنْدَ امْرَأَهٍ لُقْمَهٌ مِنْ خُبْزٍ فَوَضَعَتْهَا فِی فِیهَا لِتَأْکُلَ فَنَادَی السَّائِلُ یَا أَمَهَ اللَّهِ الْجُوعُ فَقَالَتِ الْمَرْأَهُ أَتَصَدَّقُ فِی مِثْلِ هَذَا الزَّمَانِ فَأَخْرَجَتْهَا مِنْ فِیهَا فَدَفَعَتْهَا إِلَی السَّائِلِ وَ کَانَ لَهَا وَلَدٌ صَغِیرٌ یَحْطِبُ فِی الصَّحْرَاءِ فَجَاءَ الذِّئْبُ فَاحْتَمَلَهُ فَوَقَعَتِ الصَّیْحَهُ فَعَدَتِ الْأُمُّ فِی أَثَرِ الذِّئْبِ فَبَعَثَ اللَّهُ إِلَیْهِ تَبَارَکَ وَ تَعَالَی جَبْرَئِیلَ ع فَأَخْرَجَ الْغُلَامَ مِنْ فَمِ الذِّئْبِ فَدَفَعَهُ إِلَی أُمِّهِ فَقَالَ لَهَا جَبْرَئِیلُ ع یَا أَمَهَ اللَّهِ أَ رَضِیتِ لُقْمَهً بِلُقْمَهٍ.
6. It was narrated to me by al-Hassan b. Ahmad from his father from Muhammad b. Ahmad b. Ibrahim b. Hashim from Musa b. Abi al-Hassan from al-Ridha who said: Imam Ridha
narrates that there was drought in Bani Israel for many years at a stretch. A woman kept a morsel in her mouth. A beggar passed by and called out, “O woman! I am hungry.” The woman thought that she should offer Sadaqah and took out the morsel from her mouth and gave it to the beggar. The woman had a young child who had gone to collect some firewood in the forest. A wolf picked the child up and started running away. The woman started chasing that wolf. Allah sent Jibraeel at that time and he took the child from wolf and returned him to his mother and told her, “O woman! Are you happy to get the return of that morsel through this one?”
