344. Hanaan, from his father, who has said: Abu Ja’far (a.s.) said, when I said to him (a.s.), ‘What were the children of Yaqoub (as), Prophets (as)?’ He (a.s.) said: ‘No, but they were the grandchildren of the children of the Prophets (as), and they did not depart from the world except as happy, repentant, and remembered what they had done, and the two old men (Abu Bakr and Umar – Shaykhayn) departed from the world, and they never remembered what they had done with Amir-ul-Momineen (a.s.), so upon these two be the Curses of Allah (azwj), and the Angels, and the people altogether’.
