الْحُسَيْنُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ الْأَشْعَرِيُّ عَنْ مُعَلَّى بْنِ مُحَمَّدٍ عَنِ الْحَسَنِ بْنِ عَلِيٍّ الْوَشَّاءِ عَنْ أَبَانِ بْنِ عُثْمَانَ عَنْ أَبِي بَصِيرٍ قَالَ كُنْتُ جَالِساً عِنْدَ أَبِي عَبْدِ اللَّهِ (عليه السلام) إِذْ دَخَلَتْ عَلَيْهِ أُمُّ خَالِدٍ الَّتِي كَانَ قَطَعَهَا يُوسُفُ بْنُ عُمَرَ تَسْتَأْذِنُ عَلَيْهِ فَقَالَ أَبُو عَبْدِ اللَّهِ (عليه السلام) أَ يَسُرُّكَ أَنْ تَسْمَعَ كَلَامَهَا فَقُلْتُ نَعَمْ فَقَالَ أَمَّا الْآنَ فَأَذِنَ لَهَا قَالَ وَ أَجْلَسَنِي مَعَهُ عَلَى الطِّنْفِسَةِ ثُمَّ دَخَلَتْ فَتَكَلَّمَتْ فَإِذَا امْرَأَةٌ بَلِيغَةٌ فَسَأَلَتْهُ عَنْهُمَا فَقَالَ لَهَا تَوَلَّيْهِمَا قَالَتْ فَأَقُولُ لِرَبِّي إِذَا لَقِيتُهُ إِنَّكَ أَمَرْتَنِي بِوَلَايَتِهِمَا قَالَ نَعَمْ قَالَتْ فَإِنَّ هَذَا الَّذِي مَعَكَ عَلَى الطِّنْفِسَةِ يَأْمُرُنِي بِالْبَرَاءَةِ مِنْهُمَا وَ كَثِيرٌ النَّوَّاءُ يَأْمُرُنِي بِوَلَايَتِهِمَا فَأَيُّهُمَا خَيْرٌ وَ أَحَبُّ إِلَيْكَ قَالَ هَذَا وَ اللَّهِ أَحَبُّ إِلَيَّ مِنْ كَثِيرٍ النَّوَّاءِ وَ أَصْحَابِهِ إِنَّ هَذَا يُخَاصِمُ فَيَقُولُ وَ مَنْ لَمْ يَحْكُمْ بِما أَنْزَلَ اللَّهُ فَأُولئِكَ هُمُ الْكافِرُونَ وَ مَنْ لَمْ يَحْكُمْ بِما أَنْزَلَ اللَّهُ فَأُولئِكَ هُمُ الظَّالِمُونَ وَ مَنْ لَمْ يَحْكُمْ بِما أَنْزَلَ اللَّهُ فَأُولئِكَ هُمُ الْفاسِقُونَ.

319. Al-Husayn Bin Muhammad La Ashary, from Moala Bin Muhammad, from Al-Hassan Bin Ali Al-Washa, from Aban Bin Usman, from Abu Baseer who said: I was seated in the presence of Abu Abdullah (asws) when Umm Khalid, who had been cut off by Yusuf Bin Umar, came up and sought permission to see him (asws). So Abu Abdullah (asws) said; ‘Would it please you to hear her words?’ So I said, ‘Yes’. He (asws) said: ‘As for now, give permission to her’. And he (asws) made me sit on settee along with him (asws)’. Then she came in, and she spoke. She was an eloquent woman. So she asked about the two of them. So he (asws) said: ‘Consider them as friends. She said, ‘So shalI I say to my Lord (azwj) when I meet Him (azwj) that you (asws) have ordered me to befriend these two?’ So he (asws) said: ‘Yes’. She said, ‘This one who is with you (asws) upon the settee has ordered me to distance myself from those two, and Kusayr Al-Nawaa has ordered me to befriend those two. So which one is better and more beloved to you (asws)?’ He (asws) said: ‘By Allah (azwj)! This one is more beloved to me (asws) than Kusayr Al-Nawaa and his companions. This one here debates by saying: “[5:44] and whoever did not judge by what Allah revealed, those are they that are the unbelievers” “[5:45] and whoever did not judge by what Allah revealed, those are they that are the unjust.” “[5:47] and whoever did not judge by what Allah revealed, those are they that are the transgressors”.’
