Mixing with people

عِدَّةٌ مِنْ أَصْحَابِنَا عَنْ سَهْلِ بْنِ زِيَادٍ عَنِ الْحَجَّالِ عَنْ حَمَّادٍ عَنِ الْحَلَبِيِّ عَنْ أَبِي عَبْدِ اللَّهِ (عليه السلام) قَالَ خَالِطِ النَّاسَ تَخْبُرْهُمْ وَ مَتَى تَخْبُرْهُمْ تَقْلِهِمْ.

196. A number of our companions, from Sahl Bin Ziyad, from Al-Hajjaal, from Hamad, from Al-Halby, who has narrated the following: Abu Abdullah (a.s) said: ‘Intermingle with the people to find out about them, and when you find out about them, (only then) travel/associate with them’.
