176. A number of our companions, from Sahl Bin Ziyad, from Ahmad Bin Muhammad Bin Abu Nasr, from Hammaad Bin Usmaan, from Zayd Bin Al-Hassan who said: I heard Abu Abdullah (a.s) saying: ‘Ali (a.s) was the most similar to the Rasool Allah ﷺ in the partaking of food and manners. And he (a.s) used to eat the bread and the oil whilst (he (a.s) would feed) the people with the bread and the meat’. He (a.s) said: ‘Ali (a.s) used to fetch the water and the firewood, and Fatima (s.a) used to grind, and knead, and bake, and stitch. She (a.s) was of the most beautiful of face from the people, with cheeks like two roses, may Greetings be upon her (a.s), and upon her (a.s) father ﷺ, and her (a.s) husband (a.s), and her (a.s) purified children (a.s)’.
