140. Rare Ahadith

1- عِدَّةٌ مِنْ أَصْحَابِنَا عَنْ أَحْمَدَ بْنِ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ خَالِدٍ عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ عَلِيٍّ عَنِ الْحَكَمِ بْنِ مِسْكِينٍ عَنْ عُبَيْدِ بْنِ زُرَارَةَ قَالَ كَانَ لَنَا جَارٌ شَيْخٌ لَهُ جَارِيَةٌ فَارِهَةٌ قَدْ أَعْطَى بِهَا ثَلاثِينَ أَلْفَ دِرْهَمٍ فَكَانَ لا يَبْلُغُ مِنْهَا مَا يُرِيدُ وَكَانَتْ تَقُولُ اجْعَلْ يَدَكَ كَذَا بَيْنَ شُفْرَيَّ فَإِنِّي أَجِدُ لِذَلِكَ لَذَّةً وَكَانَ يَكْرَهُ أَنْ يَفْعَلَ ذَلِكَ فَقَالَ لِزُرَارَةَ اسْأَلْ أَبَا عَبْدِ اللهِ (عَلَيْهِ السَّلام) عَنْ هَذَا فَسَأَلَهُ فَقَالَ لا بَأْسَ أَنْ يَسْتَعِينَ بِكُلِّ شَيْ‏ءٍ مِنْ جَسَدِهِ عَلَيْهَا وَلَكِنْ لا يَسْتَعِينُ بِغَيْرِ جَسَدِهِ عَلَيْهَا.


1. A number of our people have narrated from Ahmad ibn Muhammad from ibn Khalid from Muhammad ibn Ali from Hakam ibn Miskin from ‘ Ubayd ibn Zurarah who has said the following: “In our neighborhood there lived an old man who had a beautiful slave-girl for whom he had paid thirty thousand dirham; but he was not able to reach the satisfaction from her what he wanted and she would say, ‘Place your hand between my two flanges, I feel the pleasure’, but he did not like to do so. He asked Zurarah to ask abu ‘Abd Allah, ‘Alayhi al-Salam, about it. Abu ‘Abd Allah, ‘Alayhi al- Salam, said, ‘It is not unlawful, if he receives help from any part of his body to help her, but he must not seek help from what is other than his body to help her receive satisfaction.’”

2- عِدَّةٌ مِنْ أَصْحَابِنَا عَنْ سَهْلِ بْنِ زِيَادٍ عَنْ جَعْفَرِ بْنِ مُحَمَّدٍ الأشْعَرِيِّ عَنِ ابْنِ الْقَدَّاحِ عَنْ أَبِي عَبْدِ اللهِ (عَلَيْهِ السَّلام) قَالَ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ (صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَآلِه) إِذَا جَامَعَ أَحَدُكُمْ فَلا يَأْتِيهِنَّ كَمَا يَأْتِي الطَّيْرُ لِيَمْكُثْ وَلْيَلْبَثْ قَالَ بَعْضُهُمْ وَلْيَتَلَبَّثْ.


2. A number of our people have narrated from Sahl ibn Ziyad from Ja’far ibn Muhammad al-Ash’ariy from ibn al-Qaddah who has said the following: “Abu ‘Abd Allah, ‘Alayhi al-Salam, has said that the Messenger of Allah, O Allah, grant compensation to Muhammad and his family worthy of their services to Your cause, has said, ‘When anyone of you goes to bed (for sexual intercourse) with his wife, he must not go like birds do. He must stay in and persist.’ Certain ones have said that one must linger.”

3- الْحُسَيْنُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ عَنْ مُعَلَّى بْنِ مُحَمَّدٍ عَنِ الْوَشَّاءِ عَنْ إِبْرَاهِيمَ بْنِ أَبِي بَكْرٍ النَّحَّاسِ عَنْ مُوسَى بْنِ بَكْرٍ عَنْ أَبِي الْحَسَنِ (عَلَيْهِ السَّلام) فِي الرَّجُلِ يُجَامِعُ فَيَقَعُ عَنْهُ ثَوْبُهُ قَالَ لا بَأْسَ.


3. Al-Husayn from Muhammad has narrated from Mu’alla’ ibn Muhammad from al-Washsha’ from Ibrahim ibn abu Bakr al-Nahhas from Musa ibn Bakr who has said the following: “About the case of a man whose clothes during going to bed with his wife fall off, abu al-Hassan, ‘Alayhi al-Salam, has said, ‘It is not unlawful.’”

4- مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ يَحْيَى عَنْ أَحْمَدَ بْنِ مُحَمَّدٍ عَنْ إِسْمَاعِيلَ بْنِ هَمَّامٍ عَنْ عَلِيِّ بْنِ جَعْفَرٍ قَالَ سَأَلْتُ أَبَا الْحَسَنِ (عَلَيْهِ السَّلام) عَنِ الرَّجُلِ يُقَبِّلُ قُبُلَ الْمَرْأَةِ قَالَ لا بَأْسَ.


4. Muhammad ibn Yahya has narrated from Ahmad ibn Muhammad from ‘Isma’il ibn Hammam from Ali ibn Ja’far who has said the following: “I once asked abu al-Hassan, ‘Alayhi al-Salam, about the case of a man who kisses the vagina of a woman. He (the Imam) said, ‘It is not unlawful.’”

5- عَلِيُّ بْنُ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ بُنْدَارَ عَنْ أَحْمَدَ بْنِ أَبِي عَبْدِ اللهِ عَنْ أَبِيهِ عَنْ أَحْمَدَ بْنِ النَّضْرِ عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ مِسْكِينٍ الْحَنَّاطِ عَنْ أَبِي حَمْزَةَ قَالَ سَأَلْتُ أَبَا عَبْدِ اللهِ (عَلَيْهِ السَّلام) أَيَنْظُرُ الرَّجُلُ إِلَى فَرْجِ امْرَأَتِهِ وَهُوَ يُجَامِعُهَا فَقَالَ لا بَأْسَ.


5. Ali ibn Muhammad ibn Bandar has narrated from Ahmad ibn abu ‘Abd Allah from his father from Ahmad ibn al-Nadr from Muhammad ibn Miskin al-Hannat from abu Hamzah who has said the following: “This is concerning my question before abu ‘Abd Allah, ‘Alayhi al-Salam, if a man can look at the vagina of his wife during sexual intercourse. He (the Imam) said, ‘It is not unlawful.’”

6- عَلِيُّ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ عَنْ أَبِيهِ عَنِ ابْنِ أَبِي عُمَيْرٍ عَنْ رَجُلٍ عَنْ إِسْحَاقَ بْنِ عَمَّارٍ عَنْ أَبِي عَبْدِ اللهِ (عَلَيْهِ السَّلام) فِي الرَّجُلِ يَنْظُرُ إِلَى امْرَأَتِهِ وَهِيَ عُرْيَانَةٌ قَالَ لا بَأْسَ بِذَلِكَ وَهَلِ اللَّذَّةُ إِلا ذَلِكَ.


6. Ali ibn Ibrahim has narrated from his father from ibn abu ‘Umayr from a man from Ishaq ibn ‘Ammar who has said the following: “About the case of a man who looks at his wife when she is nude, abu ‘Abd Allah, ‘Alayhi al-Salam, has said, ‘It is not unlawful. Pleasure is but in such things.’”

7- عَلِيُّ بْنُ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ بُنْدَارَ عَنْ أَحْمَدَ بْنِ أَبِي عَبْدِ اللهِ عَنْ أَبِيهِ عَنْ عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ الْقَاسِمِ عَنْ عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ سِنَانٍ قَالَ قَالَ أَبُو عَبْدِ اللهِ (عَلَيْهِ السَّلام) اتَّقُوا الْكَلامَ عِنْدَ مُلْتَقَى الْخِتَانَيْنِ فَإِنَّهُ يُورِثُ الْخَرَسَ.


7. Ali ibn Muhammad ibn Bandar has narrated from Ahmad ibn abu ‘Abd Allah from his father from ‘Abd Allah ibn al-Qasim from ‘Abd Allah ibn Sinan who has said the following: “Abu ‘Abd Allah, ‘Alayhi al-Salam, has said, ‘Beware of speaking when two sexual organs meet; it may cause dumbness and muteness.’”

8- عَلِيُّ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ عَنْ أَبِيهِ عَنْ مُحَسِّنِ بْنِ أَحْمَدَ عَنْ أَبَانٍ عَنْ مِسْمَعِ بْنِ عَبْدِ الْمَلِكِ قَالَ سَمِعْتُ أَبَا عَبْدِ اللهِ (عَلَيْهِ السَّلام) يَقُولُ لا يُجَامِعُ الْمُخْتَضِبُ قُلْتُ جُعِلْتُ فِدَاكَ لِمَ لا يُجَامِعُ الْمُخْتَضِبُ قَالَ لأنَّهُ مُحْتَصَرٌ.


8. Ali ibn Ibrahim has narrated from his father from Muhsin ibn Ahmad from Aban from Misma’ ibn ‘Abd al-Malik who has said the following: “I once heard abu ‘Abd Allah, ‘Alayhi al-Salam, saying, ’One who has dyed (his hairs) does not go to bed with his wife/ I then asked, ‘Why one who has dyed does not go to bed with his wife?’ He (the Imam) said, ‘Because he is confined/”
