فِي رِوَايَةِ اَلسَّكُونِيِّ: "أَنَّ عَلِيّاً عَلَيْهِ اَلسَّلاَمُ قَضَى فِي اَللِّحْيَةِ إِذَا حُلِقَتْ فَلَمْ تَنْبُتْ بِالدِّيَةِ كَامِلَةً فَإِذَا نَبَتَتْ فَثُلُثُ اَلدِّيَةِ".
In the narration of Al-Sakuni, it is reported that Imam Ali ibn Abi Talib (a.s) ruled that if a man's beard was shaved off and it did not grow back, the full blood money (diyyah) must be paid. However, if the beard grew back, only one-third of the diyyah was required.
