Chapter on What is Obligatory in the Case of a Shaved Beard

Ḥadīth 5332

5332 - فِي رِوَايَةِ اَلسَّكُونِيِّ : "أَنَّ عَلِيّاً عَلَيْهِ اَلسَّلاَمُ قَضَى فِي اَللِّحْيَةِ إِذَا حُلِقَتْ فَلَمْ تَنْبُتْ بِالدِّيَةِ كَامِلَةً فَإِذَا نَبَتَتْ فَثُلُثُ اَلدِّيَةِ".

Hadith.5332 - In the narration of Al-Sakuni, it is reported that Imam Ali ibn Abi Talib (as) ruled that if a man's beard was shaved off and it did not grow back, the full blood money (diyyah) must be paid. However, if the beard grew back, only one-third of the diyyah was required.
