رَوَى حَنَانُ بْنُ سَدِيرٍ قَالَ: ذَكَرْتُ لِأَبِي جَعْفَرٍ عَلَيْهِ اَلسَّلاَمُ اَلْبَيْتَ فَقَالَ «لَوْ عَطَّلُوهُ سَنَةً وَاحِدَةً لَمْ يُنَاظَرُوا ». وَ فِي خَبَرٍ آخَرَ: «لَيَنْزِلُ عَلَيْهِمُ اَلْعَذَابُ ».
Hanan ibn Sadir narrated: I mentioned the House (the Ka'bah) to Abu Ja'far (a.s), Imam (a.s) said: "If they were to abandon it for a single year, they would not be given respite." In another narration, Imam (a.s) said: "Punishment would descend upon them."
