73. The Reward for the Ziyārah of Ĥusain (a.s.) in the Month of Rajab
Back to book1 حَدَّثَنِي أَبُو عَلِيٍّ مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ هَمَّامِ بْنِ سُهَيْلٍ عَنْ أَبِي عَبْدِ اللَّهِ جَعْفَرِ بْنِ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ مَالِكٍ عَنِ الْحَسَنِ بْنِ مُحَمَّدٍ الْأَبْزَارِيِّ عَنِ الْحَسَنِ بْنِ مَحْبُوبٍ عَنْ أَحْمَدَ بْنِ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ أَبِي نَصْرٍ الْبَزَنْطِيِّ قَالَ سَأَلْتُ أَبَا الْحَسَنِ الرِّضَا (ع) فِي أَيِّ شَهْرٍ نَزُورُ الْحُسَيْنَ (ع) قَالَ فِي النِّصْفِ مِنْ رَجَبٍ وَ النِّصْفِ مِنْ شَعْبَانَ وَ رَوَاهُ أَحْمَدُ بْنُ هِلَالٍ عَنْ أَحْمَدَ بْنِ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ أَبِي نَصْرٍ عَنْ أَبِي الْحَسَنِ الرِّضَا (ع) مِثْلَهُ غَيْرَ أَنَّهُ قَالَ أَيُّ الْأَوْقَاتِ أَفْضَلُ أَنْ تَزُورَ [نَزُورَ فِيهِ الْحُسَيْنَ
1. Abū ‘Ali Muĥammad ibn Hammām ibn Suhayl narrated to me from Abǐ ‘Abdillāh Ja’far ibn Muĥammad ibn Mālik, from Ĥasan ibn Muĥammad Al-Abzāri, from Ĥasan ibn Maĥbūb, from Aĥmad ibn Muĥammad ibn Abǐ Našr Al-Bizanťi, who said: I asked Abal Ĥasan (Imam Riďā (a.s.)), “In which month should we go to the Ziyārah of Ĥusain (a.s.)?” Imam (a.s.) replied, “On the fifteenth of Rajab and the fifteenth of Sha’bān.” The above Ĥadǐth has also been narrated through the following chain: Aĥmad ibn Hilāl, from Aĥmad ibn Muĥammad ibn Abǐ Našr, from Abil Ĥasan, Imam Riďā (a.s.). However, the question reads, “When is the best time to go to Ziyārah of Ĥusain (a.s.)?”
2 حَدَّثَنِي أَبِي عَنْ سَعْدِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ عَنْ أَحْمَدَ بْنِ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ عِيسَى عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ إِسْمَاعِيلَ بْنِ بَزِيعٍ عَنْ صَالِحِ بْنِ عُقْبَةَ عَنْ بَشِيرٍ الدَّهَّانِ عَنْ جَعْفَرِ بْنِ مُحَمَّدٍ (ع) قَالَ مَنْ زَارَ الْحُسَيْنَ (ع) يَوْمَ عَرَفَةَ عَارِفاً بِحَقِّهِ كَتَبَ اللَّهُ لَهُ ثَوَابَ أَلْفِ حِجَّةٍ وَ أَلْفِ عُمْرَةٍ وَ أَلْفِ غَزْوَةٍ مَعَ نَبِيٍّ مُرْسَلٍ مَنْ زَارَهُ أَوَّلَ يَوْمٍ مِنْ رَجَبٍ غَفَرَ اللَّهُ لَهُ الْبَتَّةَ
2. My father narrated to me from Sa’d ibn ‘Abdillāh, from Aĥmad ibn Muĥammad ibn ‘Isā, from Muĥammad ibn Ismā’ǐl ibn Bazǐ’, from Šāliĥ ibn ‘Uqbah, from Bashǐr Al-Dahhān, who said: Ja’far ibn Muĥammad (Imam Šādiq (a.s.)) said: Allāh will register the reward of one thousand Hajj and one thousand ‘Umrah and the reward of fighting one thousand times with one of Allāh’s messengers for those who go to the Ziyārah of Ĥusain (a.s.) on the Day of ‘Arafah while knowing his rights. And surely Allāh forgives those who go to his Ziyārah on the first day of Rajab.
