Back to book

1. Imam Ja’far Sadiq (a.s.) says, “The Holy Prophet (s.a.w.s.) said, ‘A person who recites Laa ilaaha illallaah loudly is free. He crushes his sins with his feet and destroys them in the same way as dry leaves fall off from a tree’.”

2. My father (rah) said: it was narrated to us by Sa’d b. Abdillah from Ahmad b. Muhammad from al-Hussain b. Sayf from Sulayman b. Umar who said it was narrated to me by ’Imran b. ’Ata who said it was narrated to me by ’Ata from Ibn Abbas from The Prophet (s.a.w.s.) who said: “Allah likes the statement of Laa ilaaha illallaah much more than any other statement in this world. The sins of a person who recites Laa ilaaha illallaah are wiped out in the same way as dry leaves fall off a tree.”

3. And from the previous chain from al-Hussain b. Sayf from his brother Ali from his father from al-Hassan b. al-Sabah who said it was narrated to me by Anas from The Prophet (s.a.w.s.) who said: “One who does not recite Laa ilaaha illallaah is proud and arrogant.”
