 حَدَّثَنِی مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ الْحَسَنِ عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ الْحَسَنِ الصَّفَّارِ عَنِ الْعَبَّاسِ بْنِ مَعْرُوفٍ عَنِ الْحَسَنِ بْنِ عَلِیِّ بْنِ فَضَّالٍ عَنْ ظَرِیفِ بْنِ نَاصِحٍ عَنْ أَبِی عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ عَنْ أَبِی عَبْدِ اللَّهِ ع قَالَ سَمِعْتُهُ یَقُولُ مَنِ اشْتَکَی لَیْلَهً فَقَبِلَهَا بِقَبُولِهَا وَ أَدَّی إِلَی اللَّهِ شُکْرَهَا کَانَتْ لَهُ کَفَّارَهُ سِتِّینَ سَنَهً قَالَ قُلْتُ وَ مَا مَعْنَی قَبِلَهَا بِقَبُولِهَا قَالَ صَبَرَ عَلَی مَا کَانَ فِیهَا.

1.  It is narrated that Imam Ja’far Sadiq (a.s.) said, “One who thanks Allah after bearing illness for a night, is compensated for his sins of sixty years.” The narrator asked the meaning of bearing. Imam  (a.s.) replied, “Remaining  patient during illness.”
